A. Installation of the Brake Temperature Sensor
(1)
Remove the blanking caps from the connector (3) and from the housing of the sensor.
(2)
Install the temperature sensor (1).
(3)
Install the screw (2), TORQUE the screw (2) to between 0.65 and 0.8 m.daN (57.52 and 70.79 lbf.in) and safety it with lockwire corrosion resistant steel 0.8 mm (0.03 in).
(4)
Connect the connector (3) to the temperature sensor (1) and fold back the end of the sleeve (4) on the connector (3) to cover it fully.

A. Installation of the Brake Temperature Sensor
(1)
Remove the blanking caps from the connector (2) and from the housing of the sensor.
(2)
Pre SIL 32-0106
(a)
Install the BTMS sensor assembly through the brake housing subassembly (8).
(b)
Apply COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-020) to the threads of the sensor assembly screw (5).
(c)
Install the sensor assembly screw (5) to the retainer subassembly (6), TORQUE the screw (5) to 0.4 m.daN (35.39 lbf.in).
(d)
Install the screw (3) and the washer (4). TORQUE the screw (3) to
0.79 m.daN (69.91 lbf.in).

(e)
Make sure that the heat shrink sleeve (9) is in the correct condition and connect the electrical connector (2) to the receptacle (1).
(f)
Fold back the end of the sleeve (9) on the connector (2) to cover it fully.
(g)
If the heat shrink sleeve (9) is not in the correct condition install a new sleeve as follows:
-cut a piece of heat shrink sleeve (9) to a length between 52 mm (2.0472 in.) and 58 mm (2.2834 in.).
