 4. Procedure

 A. Preparation before Installation
 (1)
 Apply a thin layer of COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-004A) to the seals (2).

 (2)
 Apply a thin layer of COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-003) to the shaft (18), the splined shaft (17), the bushing (13) and the thread of the nut (14).

 (3) Install the new packing-preformed (2) on the shaft (3). Subtask 32-49-16-420-055
 B. Installation of the Pressure Transducer
 (1) Install the transducer (4) on the shaft (3) carefully to prevent damage to the seals (2).
 NOTE : Make sure that the transducer (4) is in the correct position.

 (2)
 Install the nut (6) and TORQUE it to between 0.3 and 0.9 m.daN (26.54 and 79.64 lbf.in).

 (3)
 Install the new cotter pin (5).

 (4)
 Make sure that the grommet (19) is in position.

 (5)
 Remove the blanking caps and connect the connector (16) to the receptacle (20).

 NOTE : The curve of the cable (7) must be natural and not twisted.

 (6) Install the impeller (15)
 Pre SIL 32 - 095
 -Put the impeller (15) in position and engage the splines.
 -Lock the impeller (15) with the DISASSEMBLY TOOL (MG174-04).
 -TORQUE the nut (14) to 3.4 m.daN (25.07 lbf.ft). Safety the nut
 (14) with corrosion resistant steel lockwire dia 0.8 mm (0.03 in.).

 -Make sure that the impeller (15) turns freely.

 Post SIL 32 - 095
 -Put the impeller (15) in position and engage the splines.
 -Lock the impeller (15) with the DISASSEMBLY TOOL (MG174-04).
 -Install the washer (24) and the nut (14).
 -TORQUE the nut (14) to 3.4 m.daN (25.07 lbf.ft). Safety the nut
 (14) with corrosion resistant steel lockwire dia 0.8 mm (0.03 in.).
 -Make sure that the impeller (15) turns freely.
 (7) Install the guard assembly (12) with the grommet (9).
 NOTE : The debris guard has holes of different diameters:
____
 -large diameter (two): to permit removal of the guard assy without removal of the shroud assy screws (larger than the screw heads)
 -medium diameter (two): to put the locating pins in the correct position. Same holes on the shroud assy (centering function)
 -small diameter (four): to put the four attachment screws in the correct position.
 NOTE : Use the locating pins (8) to put the guard assembly (12) in
____
 the correct position.

 NOTE : During installation, make sure that the splined shaft (17)
____
 engages correctly in the bushing (13).

 (8) Install the screws (11) and the washers (10), TORQUE the screws (11) to between 0.22 and 0.24 m.daN (19.46 and 21.23 lbf.in).

 C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1GV, 1GS, 2GS, 3GS

 D. Preparation before the Test
 (1)
 Inflate the wheel to the unloaded pressure (Ref. TASK 12-14-32-614-001).

 Lower the aircraft on its wheels (Ref. TASK 07-12-00-582-002).

 E. Functional test
 (1)
 Do the functional test of the Tire Pressure Indicating System (Ref. TASK 32-49-00-720-001).

 Do the functional test of the brake fans (Ref. TASK 32-48-00-720-001).

 5. Close-up

 A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
 (1)
 Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.

 (2)
 Remove the safety barriers.

 (3)
 Remove the warning notice(s).
