(2) Do a check of the electrical connectors of the aft and forward junction boxes for correct condition.
(3) Do a check of the exposed pylon for correct condition.
(4) Do a check of the forward and aft engine mounts for condition and attachment.

(1) Disconnect the fuel overboard drain tube (150) from the CFMI tube.
(2) Remove the bolt (155), the nut (160), and the clamp (165) that attach the drain tube (150) to the bracket on the transfer gearbox.
(3) Remove the bolt (170), the spacer (180), and the nut (185) that attach the drain tube (150) to the bracket at the bottom of the transfer gearbox.
(4) Remove the drain tube (150) from the engine.
(5) Put protective covers on the tubes.

A. Installation of the booststrap:
(1) Install the engine trolley complete with the engine cradle and the replacement engine under the pylon.
(2) Install chain pulley blocks on the bootstrap system.
(3) Attach the chain hooks to the engine cradle.
(4) Free the pins attaching the engine cradle to the trolley.
(5) Place the locking levers of the handling hoist in up position.
(6) Raise the engine cradle to disengage it from the trolley. CAUTION : MAKE SURE THAT THE PYLON FORWARD MOUNT DOES NOT TOUCH THE
_______ UPPER STRUT OR THE UPPER SEAL ASSY WHEN YOU RAISE THE ENGINE OR DAMAGE CAN OCCUR.

(a) Slightly raise the forward section of the engine cradle then the aft section.
NOTE : During hoisting procedure make sure that:

- The difference of load between front cables is less than 600 daN (1348.9 lbf) (612 kg)
- The difference of load between rear cables is less than 200 daN (449.6 lbf) (204 kg).
NOTE : Use the level indicators on the forward hinge arms of the
____ bootstrap to keep this hinge arms as near as possible to the horizontal position.
(7) When the distance between the engine mounts and the pylon mounts is approximately 10 mm (0.4 in.) , slowly raise the engine.
CAUTION : DO NOT INSTALL THE LOCATING PINS OF ONE MOUNT BEFORE THE
_______ OTHER OR DAMAGE TO MOUNTS AND PYLON COULD RESULT.
(a) Install front and rear locating pins.
