C. Procedure
S 424-036
(1) ON AIRPLANES WITH 18 INCH AISLES;
Do these steps to install the temperature sensor:
(a)
Install the gasket on the sensor duct.
(b)
Install the temperature sensor in the sensor duct.
(c)
Install the fasteners on the sensor flange.
(d)
Install the electrical connector on the temperature sensor.

(2) ON AIRPLANES WITH 20 INCH AISLES;
Do these steps to install the temperature sensor:
(a)
Install the gasket on the sensor duct.
(b)
Put the temperature sensor in position on the sensor duct.
(c)
Install the screws and washers that hold the temperature sensor to the sensor duct.
(d)
Install the sensor assembly into the bullnose.
(e)
Install the screw which holds the loop clamp to the stowage bin.
(f)
Install the middle screw.
(g)
Install the plug button which is a cover for the access hole to the middle screw.
(h)
Install the forward screw which holds the sensor duct to the stowage bin (access is through the inlet duct).
(i)
Install the electrical connectors to these items: 1) Fan 2) Temperature Bulb 3) Temperature Sensor

(3) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker on the P6-4 panel:
(a) 6A3, TEMP CONTROL AUTOMATIC R
D. Do A Test Of The Passenger Cabin Temperature Sensor.
S 714-030
(1) Do a test of the temperature sensor:
(a)
Open the OVERHEAT circuit breaker on the P6-4 Panel and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag.
(b)
Remove the electrical connector for the limit switch on the Right Pack Valve.
(c)
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close the OVERHEAT circuit breaker on the P6-4 panel.
(d)
Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE identifiers from the L and R PACK switches and set the R PACK switch on the P5-10 Panel to the AUTO position.
(e)
Set the PASS CABIN temperature selector to the AUTO COLD position. 1) Make sure the mix valve moves to the cold position.
NOTE: If the cabin temperature is below 65 F (18.3 C),
____ it will be necessary to supply warm air to the sensor.
(f)
Set the temperature selector to the MANUAL WARM position to move the mix valve from the cold position.
(g)
Set the temperature selector to the AUTO COLD position. 1) Make sure the mix valve moves to the COLD position.
(h)
Set the temperature selector to MANUAL WARM. 1) Make sure the mix valve moves to the WARM position.
(i)
Open the OVERHEAT circuit breaker on the P6-4 panel, and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag.
(j)
Connect the limit switch to the Right Pack Valve.
(k)
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close the OVERHEAT circuit breaker on the P6-4 panel.
(l)
Make sure the mix valve moves to the COLD position.
(m)
Set the R PACK switch to the OFF position.
(n)
Set the temperature selector to the OFF position.

(2) Remove the electrical power from the airplane if it is not necessary (Ref 24-22-00/201).
