 S 715-087
 (2)  Pull up on the release handle with a force of approximately 0.2 pounds.
 (a)  Make sure the spring detent action of the release handle keeps the side lock in the extended position.
 NOTE: This is done to make sure the handle does not release
____ during negative "G" flight conditions.

 (3)  Pull up on each release handle until the side lock restraint moves to the retracted (outboard) position.
 (a)  
Make sure the movement of the release handle is smooth.

 (b)  
Make sure the spring detent action of the release handle keeps the side lock in the extended position.

 (c)  
Make sure the tongue for the side lock is flush with the inboard face of the guide/restraint rail and not just flush with the plane of the vertical guide rollers.

 S 715-004
 (4)  Turn each swiveling vertical restraint 90-degrees to either side of the center inboard position and release the restraint.
 (a)  Make sure the vertical restraint does not touch the inboard face of the guide/ restraint rail and returns to the center inboard position.

 (5)  Make sure the vertical rollers on the inboard face of the
 guide/restraint rail and the bearings turn smooth and free.

 E. Retractable Side Door Guide/Restraint Rails Operation Check

 (1)  Push down on each release handle until the side lock restraint moves to the extended (inboard) position.
 (a) Make sure the movement of the release handle is smooth.

 (5)  Move each release handle for the guide/restraint rail support retaining pin outboard. (a) Make sure the movement of the release handle is smooth. (b) Make sure the spring detent action of the release handle locks the retaining pin in the retracted (outboard) position. (c) Lift and fold the rails forward and aft of the opening for the side cargo door to make sure the guide/restraint rails release from the rail supports.

 (6)  Put the guide/restraint rails on the rail supports and move each release handle for the rail support retaining pin inboard. (a) Make sure the movement of the release handle is smooth. (b) Make sure the retaining pins extend inboard and hold the guide/restraint rails to the rail supports.

 NOTE: The side door guide/restraint rails must be retracted to check

 S 715-011
 (1)  Operate the release lever for the stowage lock plunger on the aft side of the guide/stop to extend the guide/stop head.
