Remove the power drive unit (PDU) (Ref 25-57-01/401).

Loosen the axle bolt which attaches the drive-wheel axle to the actuator nut.
NOTE:____The axle bolt is in the drive-wheel axle. A grip ring will prevent the removal of the axle bolt.

Disconnect the actuator wire bundle from the relay and the terminal block on the side of the drive-wheel housing.

(4)
Remove the four bolts (hex head) and washers which hold the actuator to the side of the drive-wheel housing.
(5)
Remove the actuator.

NOTE: There will be a shim between the actuator and the side of the

(1)
Inflate the drive-wheel tire to a pressure of 125 to 130 psig.

Put the drive-wheel assembly into the drive-wheel housing.

(3)
Align the splines of the drive-wheel axle with the splines of the drive-wheel assembly.

(4)
Push the drive-wheel axle and the bearing support assembly through the side of the drive-wheel housing and assembly.

(5)
Move the drive-wheel assembly until the splines of the drive-wheel axle engage with the splines of the drive-wheel actuator.

(6)
Install the four washers and bolts (hex head) to attach the bearing support assembly to the side of the drive-wheel housing.
NOTE: Tighten the bolts to 63-77 inch-pounds.

(7) Attach the axle bolt to the actuator nut.
NOTE:____The axle bolt is in the drive-wheel axle. Tighten the axle bolt to 126-154 inch-pounds.

(8) Measure the height of the drive-wheel tire above the surface of the PDU support plate.
NOTE: The height of the drive-wheel tire must be 2.87-2.93 inches.
