 NOTE: The EIU, EICAS, and CMC must be serviceable.

 E. Prepare for the Test

Make sure that the ground lockpins for the landing gear are
 installed (AMM 09-11-00/201).

Make sure that the chocks are installed at each wheel.

Release the parking brake.

 WARNING: REFER TO THE SPECIFIED PROCEDURE TO INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS

Install the door locks for each wing gear and body gear
 (AMM 32-00-30/201).

Operate the brakes until the HYD BRAKE PRESS gage on the P1 Captain's Instrument Panel shows accumulator precharge pressure.

Remove the bleed plug from one of the wheel brakes.

 (1)  
Pressurize hydraulic system 4 (AMM 29-11-00/201).

 (a)  
Make sure the pressure indication for hydraulic system 4 on EICAS shows 2900-3150 psi.

 (b)  
Make sure that the HYD BRAKE PRESS gage on the P1-4 panel shows 2900-3150 psi.

 (2)  
Do a test on the parking brake operation:

 (a)  
Push on the captain's left brake pedal and pull the parking brake lever on the control stand. 1) Make sure the parking brake will not engage. 2) Make sure all three indicator lights on the nose gear are

 off.

 (b)  
Push on the captain's right brake pedal and pull the parking brake lever on the control stand. 1) Make sure the parking brake will not engage. 2) Make sure all three indicator lights on the nose gear are

 off.

 (c)  
Push on the first officer's left pedal and pull the parking brake lever. 1) Make sure the parking brake will not engage.

 (d)  
Push on the first officer's right pedal, and pull the parking brake lever. 1) Make sure the parking brake will not engage.

 (e)  
Push on the captain's left and right pedals, and pull the parking brake lever. 1) Make sure the parking brake engages. 2) Make sure the EICAS message PARKING BRAKE SET shows on

 EICAS.
 3)  Make sure the pressure gage on the brake and the HYD BRAKE PRESS gage on the P1 panel show the same pressure (|100 psi).
