Do these steps to do a test of thrust lever switches YBES01B, YBES02B, YBES03B, YBES04B:
(a)
Make sure that all three inertial reference systems are aligned (AMM 34-21-00/201).
(b)
Make sure that all thrust levers are set to the aft stop.
(c)
Set the AUTOBRAKES selector switch to the MAX AUTO position, hold it in this position, and do these steps: 1) Move the No. 1 thrust lever to the forward stop.

2) Push the <BRAKE SYSTEM BITE LSK.
3) Ignore the instructions of the TEST PRECONDITIONS screen and push the START TEST> LSK.

4) Make sure that the CDU shows the configuration error
indication NO. 1 THRUST LEVER IS ADVANCED.
NOTE:____ Push the CONTINUE> LSK until you find the
configuration error indication above.
5) Move the No. 1 thrust lever to the aft stop.
6) Move the No. 2 thrust lever to the forward stop.
7) Make sure that the CDU shows the configuration error
indication NO. 2 THRUST LEVER IS ADVANCED.
NOTE:____ Push the CONTINUE> LSK until you find the
configuration error indication above.
8) Move the No. 2 thrust lever to the aft stop.
9) Move the No. 3 thrust lever to the forward stop.
10) Make sure that the CDU shows the configuration error indication NO. 3 THRUST LEVER IS ADVANCED.
NOTE: Push the CONTINUE> LSK until you find the

11) Move the No. 3 thrust lever to the aft stop. 12) Move the No. 4 thrust lever to the forward stop. 13) Make sure that the CDU shows the configuration error

14) Move the No. 4 thrust lever to the aft stop.

Set the AUTOBRAKES selector switch to the OFF position.

Push the <RETURN LSK until the GROUND TESTS menu shows.

Do a test of the position switch for the speed brake lever, S217, with the steps that follow:
(a)
Do these steps to prepare for the test of the position switch for the speed brake lever, S217: 1) If necessary, release the parking brake. 2) Make sure that all three inertial reference systems are
aligned (AMM 34-21-00/001). 3) Make sure that all thrust levers are set to the aft stop. 4) Make sure that the SPEED BRAKE lever is in the DOWN
position.
(b) Do these steps to do the test of the position switch for the speed brake lever, S217: 1) Set the AUTOBRAKES selector switch to one of the five
possible positions that arm the system for landing (1, 2,
3, 4, or MAX AUTO). 2) Move the SPEED BRAKE lever to the ARMED position. 3) Push the <BRAKE SYSTEM BITE LSK. 4) Ignore the instructions of the TEST PRECONDITIONS screen
and push the START TEST> LSK.
NOTE: The CDU will show test configuration error

5) Make sure that the CDU shows the configuration error indication SPOILER HANDLE SWITCH IS IN NOT-STOWED POSITION.
