Prepare for the Adjustment of the TCC System

 (1)  Open the right fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-04/201).
 S 045-045-N00
 WARNING: DO THE THRUST REVERSER DEACTIVATION PROCEDURE TO PREVENT THE
_______ OPERATION OF THE THRUST REVERSER. THE ACCIDENTAL OPERATION OF THE THRUST REVERSER CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (2)  
Do this procedure: Thrust Reverser Deactivation for Ground Maintenance (AMM 78-31-00/201).

 (3)  
Open the right core cowl panel (AMM 71-11-06/201).

 WARNING: OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS IN AMM 78-31-00/201 WHEN YOU OPEN THE
_______ THRUST REVERSERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS, INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 (4)  Open the right thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

G.  Procedure
 S 825-048-N00
 (1)  Adjust the TCC system (complete rig):
 (a)  
Remove the bolt and the nut that attach the rod end of the control cable to the idler arm on the HPT valve.

 (b)  
Remove the bolts, nuts and bushing that attach the rod ends of the adjuster assembly. 1) Remove the adjuster assembly.

 (c)  
Install a PWA 85465 rig pin in the TCC air valve actuator as follows:

 CAUTION: IF YOU USE A LONGER POSITIONING BOLT OTHER THAN THE
_______ SPECIFIED BOLT LENGTH, DO NOT TURN THE POSITIONING BOLT UNTIL IT TOUCHES THE BOTTOM. IF THE LONGER POSITIONING BOLT TOUCHES THE BOTTOM, IT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ACTUATOR.
 1)  Install the positioning bolt in the bolt hole in the aft end of the actuator.
 NOTE: The positioning bolt is a quality standard hexhead
____ bolt with 8-32 by 1.5 inch (38.1 mm) thread length. With a 1.5 inch (38.1 mm) length bolt and when the rig pin touches the bottom, approximately 0.125 inch
 (3.175 mm) of the length will show.
 2) Slowly turn the positioning bolt clockwise. a) Align the hole in the piston shaft with the rig pin hole in the actuator housing. 3) Put the PWA 85465 rig pin into the aligned holes while you turn the positioning bolt.
 NOTE: Make sure that the rig pin is fully engaged in the
____
 piston shaft.

 (d)  Align the rigging pin hole in the HPT valve lever arm with the rigging pin hole in the HPT valve.

(e)  
Install a PWA 85465 rig pin through the lever arm and into the rig pin hole on the HPT valve:

 (f)  
Pull the rod end of the control cable rearward to align the rod end with the bolt hole on the idler arm of the HPT valve.

 NOTE: Make sure you hold the HPT valve lever arm against the
____ idler arm during the complete rigging procedure.
 (g)  If the rod end of the control cable aligns with the bolt hole on the idler arm, do the step that follows: 1) Install the bolt through the rod end of the control cable
 and the idler arm.
 NOTE: Make sure the rod end of the control cable and the
____ head of the bolt are on the inner side of the idler arm.
 (h)  If the rod end of the control cable does not align with the bolt hole on the idler arm, do the steps that follow: 1) Loosen the jamnut from the rod end of the control cable. 2) Adjust the rod end of the control cable to align with the
 bolt hole in the idler arm. 3) Install the bolt through the rod end of the control cable and the idler arm.
 NOTE: Make sure the rod end of the control cable and the
____ head of the bolt are on the inner side of the idler arm.
