D.  Procedure
 S 424-034-N00
 (1)  Install the HPT case cooling collector:
 (a)  
Remove the protection caps from the HPT collector openings and the air tubes for the HPT cooling manifold.

 (b)  
Put the HPT collector below the support bracket and lower flange of the shutoff valve (section B-B).

 (c)  
Lubricate the threads of the bolts, which attach the HPT collector, with engine oil.

 (d)  
Attach the HPT collector with the bolts (use the longer bolt at the support link location) and nut (section B-B). 1) Tighten the bolts with your hand.

 (e)  
Lubricate the threads of the bolt, which attaches the HPT collector bracket, with engine oil.

 (f)  
Attach the HPT collector bracket to the clamp with the bolt and nut (view B). 1) Tighten the bolt with your hand.

 (g)  
Connect the tubes for the HPT case cooling air to the HPT collector with the steps that follow (section A-A): 1) Lubricate the threads of the bolts, which attach the tubes

 for the HPT cooling air, with engine oil.
 2)  Attach the higher and lower aft HPT cooling air tubes to the HPT collector with the bolts. a) Tighten the bolts with your hand.
 3)  Lubricate the threads of the bolts, which attach the tube clamps, with engine oil.
 4)  Attach the tube clamps on the higher and lower aft cooling air tube to the support bracket at the flange N with bolts and nuts. a) Tighten the bolt with your hand.
 5)  Lubricate the threads of the bolts, which attach the middle cooling air tubes, with engine oil.
 6)  Connect the higher and lower middle cooling air tubes to the HPT collector with the bolts. a) Tighten the bolts with your hand.
 7)  Lubricate the threads of the bolts, which attach the tube clamps, with engine oil.
 8)  Attach the tube clamps on the higher and lower middle cooling air tube to the six bridge brackets with the bolts and nuts. a) Tighten the bolts with your hand.
 9)  Lubricate the threads of the bolts, which attach the forward cooling air tubes, with engine oil.
 10) Connect the higher and lower forward cooling air tubes to the HPT collector with the bolts. a) Tighten the bolts with your hand.
 11) Lubricate the threads of the bolts, which attach the tube clamps, with engine oil.

12) Attach the tube clamps on the higher and lower forward cooling air tube to the brackets with the bolts and nuts. a) Tighten the bolts with your hand.
 13) Tighten the bolts which attach the cooling air tubes to the HPT collector to 36-40 pound-inches (4.1-4.5 newton-meters).
 14) Tighten the bolts which attach the tube clamps to 36-40 pound-inches (4.1-4.5 newton-meters).
 (h)  
Tighten the bolts, which attach the HPT collector and the lower support link to the lower flange of the shutoff valve and the support bracket, to 85-90 pound-inches (9.6-10.7 newton-meters).

 (i)  
Tighten the bolt, which attaches the HPT collector bracket to the clamp, to 36-40 pound-inches (4.1-4.5 newton-meters).

 (j)  
Install the lower right (No. 2) TVC air duct (AMM 75-24-02/401).

 NOTE: Make sure the angle bracket is installed between the 10
____ and 2 o'clock position on the aft flange of the TVC air duct.
 (k) Attach the wire harness and the support tube to the engine with the steps that follow: 1) Lubricate the threads of the bolt, which attaches the support tube clamp, with engine oil. 2) Attach the support tube clamp to the angle bracket on the aft flange of the lower right (No. 2) TVC air duct with the bolt and nut. a) Tighten the bolt with your hand. 3) Lubricate the threads of the bolt, which attaches the support tube clamp, with engine oil. 4) Attach the support tube clamp to the bracket on the bridge bracket for the HPT cooling air tube at the 4:30 o'clock location with the bolt and nut. a) Tighten the bolt with your hand. 5) Lubricate the threads of the bolt, which attaches the support tube clamp, with engine oil. 6) Attach the support tube clamp to the bridge bracket for the LPT cooling tube at the 5 o'clock location with the bolt and nut. a) Tighten the bolt with your hand. 7) Attach the wire harness and the support tube clamps to the bracket on the diffuser/combustor case at the 3 o'clock location.
