Attach the tube clamps to the brackets on the main gearbox with the bolts and washers. 1) Tighten the bolts with your hand.

 (f)  
Attach the tube clamp to the flange M bracket at approximately the 6 o'clock position with the bolt, washers, and nut. 1) Tighten the bolt with your hand.

Attach the tube clamp to the adjacent tube clamp on the forward HPC case with the bolt, washer, and nut. 1) Tighten the bolt with your hand.

 (h)  
Attach the adjacent tube and wire bundle clamps to the tube clamp with the bolt, washers, and nut at two locations on the diffuser case. 1) Tighten the bolts.

 (i)  
Attach the wire bundle clamp to the tube clamp on the diffuser case with the bolt, washers, and nut. 1) Tighten the bolt.

 (j)  
Attach the tube clamp to the heat shield at the 6 o'clock
 position with the bolt, washer, and nut.
 1) Tighten the bolt with your hand.

 (k)  
Tighten the forward tube nut.

 (l)  
Tighten the bolts which were tightened with your hand.

 (19) For the lower center cooling air tubes, do the steps that follow (view C):
 (a)  Install the electrical wire clamps for the start valve which were removed to the flange M bracket at the two locations with the bolt, washers, and nuts. 1) Tighten the bolts.

 (20) For the lower forward cooling air tube, install the heat shield (view F) at approximately the 4:30 o'clock position on the diffuser case with the steps that follow:
 (a)  
Put the heat shield on the diffuser case.

 (b)  
Install the heat shield to the triangular bracket with the
 screw and bolts.
 1) Tighten the screw and bolts.

 (c)  
Install the heat shield to the flange M bracket with the bolts. 1) Tighten the bolts with your hand.

 (d)  
Attach the heat shield to the adjacent heat shield with the
 washers and nuts.
 1) Tighten the nuts.

 (e)  
Tighten the bolts and screws.

 CAUTION: DO NOT USE LUBRICANTS ON THE SENSING TUBES, ADAPTERS, OR
_______ PACKINGS. IF YOU USE LUBRICANTS IN THESE LOCATIONS, IT CAN CAUSE CONTAMINATION OF THE EEC.
 (21) For the lower cooling air tubes (but not the aft cooling air tube), install the EEC PT4.95 pressure tube between the diffuser and HPT cases with the steps that follow (views A and I):
 (a)  
Remove the protection caps from the tube ends and mating ends.

 (b)  
Put the EEC PT4.95 pressure tube between the diffuser and HPT case.

(c)  
Connect the tube nut to the tube adapter to the rear of the flange N. 1) Tighten the tube nut with your hand.

 (d)  
Connect the tube nut to the tube adapter at the diffuser case. 1) Tighten the tube nut with your hand.

 (e)  
Install the clamp on the EEC PT4.95 pressure tube to the bracket at two locations with the bolt and nut. 1) Tighten the bolt with your hand.

 (f)  
If the adjacent tube was removed, attach the clamp on the EEC PT4.95 pressure tube to the adjacent tube clamp with the bolt and nut. 1) Tighten the bolt to 36-40 pound-inches (4.1-4.5

 newton-meters).

 (g)  
Tighten the clamp bolts to 36-40 pound-inches (4.1-4.5 newton-meters).

 (h)  
Tighten the tube nuts to 200-225 pound-inches (22.5-25.4 newton-meters).
