 Install the upper cooling air tubes to the collector tubes with the steps that follow:

 (a) Connect the cooling air tubes to the collector tubes.

(b)  
Lubricate the threads of the bolts, which attach the cooling air tubes, with engine oil.

 (c)  
Attach the cooling air tube to the collector tubes wtih the bolts.

 (d)  
Tighten the bolts with your hand.

 (e)  
Install the cover assemblies on the two sides of the engine on the rear collector. 1) Lubricate the threads of the bolts, which attach the

 covers, with engine oil. 2) Attach the covers to the collector with the bolts. 3) Tighten the bolts with your hand.

 (f)  
Lubricate the threads of the bolts, which attach the bridge brackets for the upper cooling air tube, with engine oil.

 (g)  
Attach the bridge brackets for the cooling air tube to the brackets on the flange N with the bolts and nuts. 1) Tighten the bolts with your hand.

 (h)  
Install the clamps on the aft mounts of the bridge brackets.

 (i)  
Lubricate the threads of the bolts, which attach the clamps on the aft mounts, with engine oil.

 (j)  
Attach the clamps to the brackets on the flange P with the bolts and nuts. 1) Tighten the bolts with your hand.

 (k)  
Tighten the bolts which attach the upper and lower cooling air tubes to the collector to 36-40 pound-inches (4.1-4.5 newton-meters).

 (l)  
Tighten the bolts that attach the upper and lower cover assemblies to the collector to 36-40 pound-inches (4.1-4.5 newton-meters).

 (m)  
Tighten the bolts which attach the bridge brackets to the flange N bracket to 36-40 pound-inches (4.1-4.5 newton-meters).

 (n)  
Tighten the bolts which attach the clamps on the bridge brackets to the brackets on the flange P to 36-40 pound-inches (4.1-4.5 newton-meters).

 (15) Install the lower cooling air tubes for the LPT case (AMM 75-24-09/401).

 Install the lower starter air duct with the steps that follow:

 (a)  
Examine the seal surfaces on the flange of the starter air duct and the seals for damage and contamination. 1) Replace the seal if it is necessary.

 (b)  
Install the seals into the external flanges.

 (c)  
Put the lower starter air duct between the upper starter air duct and the start valve. 1) The maximum permitted distance between the flange

 connections is 0.3 inch (0.76 mm).

 (d)  
Attach the lower starter air duct to the start valve and the upper starter air duct with the couplings. 1) Tighten the coupling nuts to 100-115 pound-inches

 (11.3-13.0 newton-meters).

 (e)  
Lubricate the threads of the bolts, which attach the duct support flanges, with engine oil.

 (f)  
Attach the duct support flanges to the support brackets on the flange P with the bolts, washers, bushing for the upper support flange, and nuts. 1) Tighten the bolts with your hand.

 (g)  
Lubricate the threads of the bolts, which attach the support flange of the lower starter air duct, with engine oil.

 (h)  
Attach the support flange of the lower starter air duct to the two support rods aft of the start valve with the bolts, washers, bushings, and nuts. 1) Tighten the bolts with your hand.

 (i)  
Tighten the bolts which attach the support flanges to the support bracket to 50-70 pound-inches (5.6-8.5 newton-meters).

 (j)  
Tighten the bolts which attach the support flange of the lower starter air duct to the support rods to 50-70 pound-inches (5.6-8.5 newton-meters).
