A. Preparation of the Replacement Component
CAUTION : MAKE SURE THAT THE REPLACEMENT COMPONENT IS FULL WITH THE
_______ CORRECT FLUID BEFORE YOU INSTALL IT. IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENT AND/OR THE SYSTEM.
(1)
Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(2)
Make sure that the blower housing (27) of the pump (3) is in the correct position to connect the air hose (5).
(3)
If necessary, do the procedure that follows:
(a)
Remove the attachment bracket (12).
(b)
Remove the screws (25) and the washers (26) of the blower housing (27).
(c)
Turn the blower housing (27) to the correct position.
(d)
Install the screws (25) and the washers (26) of the blower housing (27).
(e)
TORQUE the screws (25) to between 0.18 and 0.20 m.daN (15.92 and
17.69 lbf.in).
(f)
Install the attachment bracket (12).

Make sure that the pump attachment bracket (12) is in the same position as on the removed electric pump.
(5)
If necessary, do the procedure that follows:
(a)
For pumps with part numbers 518150 or 693335:
(b)
For pumps with part number 974540: 1 Remove the bolts (8) and the washers (9).
1_ Cut and remove the lockwire.
2_ Remove the bolts (8) and the washers (9).
3_ Remove the attachment bracket (12) and put it in the correct
position.
4_ Install the washers (9) and the bolts (8).
5_ TORQUE the bolts (8) to between 1.07 and 1.19 m.daN (94.69 and
105.30 lbf.in).
6_ Safety the bolts (8) with the lockwire, MISCELLANEOUS
(Material No. 19-009).
_ 2 Remove the attachment bracket (12) and put it in the correct
_ position.
3 Install the washers (9) and the bolts (8).
_ 4 TORQUE the bolts (8) to between 1.07 and 1.19 m.daN (94.69 and
_ 105.30 lbf.in).

Make sure the replacement pump is full with the HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003).
(7)
If necessary fill the pump with the HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003).

B. Installation of the Electric Pump CAUTION : USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN
_______ YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU USE THE SECOND WRENCH, YOU WILL NOT LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO MUCH.
CAUTION : YOU MUST INSTALL HYDRAULIC TUBES WITH HYDRAULIC FLUID AS

LUBRICANT.
(1)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Put the pump (3) into the correct position on the structure.
(4)
Put one bolt (15) through the connection of the bonding jumper (13) and the washer (20). Install the four bolts (15).
NOTE : Install the bolt which is through the bonding jumper and
____ washer in the inboard aft hole in the pump attachment bracket.
(5)
Install new nuts (10) and tighten them.
(6)
If new nuts (10) are not available, do a breakaway torque check of each nut. The minimum breakaway torque value must be 0.04 m.daN (3.5398 lbf.in). If the breakaway torque value is less than the limit, replace the nut(s).
(7)
Remove the blanking caps from the pump (3).
