3. Job Set-up

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
WARNING : OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.

(1)
Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
(2)
Make sure that one door of the main gear is open (Ref. TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(3)
Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration. (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4)
Make sure that the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(5)
Make sure that the warning notices are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
-In the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel.
-On the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system.
(6)
Make sure that the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) is disconnected (Ref. TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(7)
Make sure that the container is in position below the manifold to collect hydraulic fluid.

4. Procedure

A. Installation of the Solenoid Valve 1012GL
(1)
Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(2)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(4)
Lubricate the new:
-back-up rings ((14), (15),
-O-rings (13) and
-square-section seals (10) with HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003).
(5)
Put the two new back-up rings (15) on the sides of the bobbins (12) without the identification grooves (equipment side).
(6)
Put the two new square-section seals (10) on the sides of the bobbins
(12) without the identification grooves (equipment side).
(7)
Put the two new back-up rings (14) on the sides of the bobbins (12) with the identification grooves (manifold side).
(8)
Put the two new O-rings (13) on the sides of the bobbins (12) with the identification grooves (manifold side).
(9)
Remove the blanking plugs from the open ports of the manifold (2) and the solenoid valve (1).
(10)
Install the bobbins (12) with the identification grooves in the ports of the manifold (Ref. TASK 20-23-21-911-001).
(11)
Make sure that the locating pin (11) is installed in the PTU solenoid valve (1).
(12)
Make sure that the heads of the bolts (9) have holes for the lockwire. If necessary:
(a) Replace them by new bolts (9).

(13)
If new bolts are not available:
(a)
Drill holes with a diameter of 1.0 mm (0.0393 in.) in the bolt heads.
(b)
Deburr the holes.
(14)
Hold the solenoid valve (1) in position on the manifold (2).
(15)
Install the solenoid valve (1) with the bolts (9) and the washers (8).
(16)
Torque the bolts (9) to between 1.6 and 1.8 m.daN (11.79 and 13.27 lbf.ft).
(17)
Install the bonding jumper (5) with the bolt (4), the washer (6) and the nut (7) (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-004).
(18)
Remove the blanking cap from the electrical connectors.
(19)
Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.
