a The identification shall be printed on a sleeve at the ends of each wire.

b Each wire has a different identification. The color code is a letter. To do the identification, you can use : - one single sleeve,
 -several sleeves (one for each wire) if the single sleeve cannot be at a distance of less than 150 mm (5.9055 in.) from the termination equipment.

NOTE : If a twisted cable is partially untwisted over a length >= 200 mm (7.8740 in.) you must install an additional identification sleeve on each individual wire.
 _Phase identification special case
c When the three-wire cables for phases have wires of the same color, use red, yellow and blue sleeves to identify the phases A, B and C respectively. The sleeve shall be installed at the rear of the terminal crimping zone. Sleeve P/N : NSA 937201 MA... (the sleeve dia. shall match the wire dia.). When the three-wire twisted cables have wires of different colors, do not use these phase identification sleeves. The phase identification rule is :

 _Ground pick-ups on sensitive cables1
-The ground pick-ups on sensitive cables shall be identified by a pink sleeve printed in black.
 -If a grounding chain is made on a group of shielded sensitive cables, only the last ground pick-up wire shall be identified by a pink sleeve printed in black.
 -When sensitive and normal cable pick-ups are mixed, only the last ground pick-up wire shall be identified by a pink sleeve printed in black.
 (3) The cables without markings The cables without markings are :
 -very short cables shorter than 150 mm (5.9055 in.) and Ground pick-ups cable (ferrule to ferrule or to connector) are not identified,
 -
the cables used for circuit breaker monitoring (only for A320),

the monitoring cables connecting two adjacent "in-line" circuit breakers (only A330-A340),

 -
the cables inside small VUs (BF type - flexible cables) are not printable.

 _______1. General This chapter gives the identification and marking rules applicable to the electrical bundles and harnesses.
 ______________________________________2. Bundle functional identification rules
 A. Definition 
R R R R R R  (1) Harness or Bundle A harness is a group of wires and/or cables fastened together. All the cables are identified (ref. chapter 20-32-22). Some harness (for example in some radio or fuel systems) may be supplied by a vendor or by the airframe manufacturer. Such harness shall have a FIN and shall be called on the same basis as any other component. If supplied by a vendor (code YY) it shall be covered by a part number. If produced by the airframe manufacturer it shall be covered by a drawing number. Only the graphic symbol on the wiring diagram will enable a distinction to be made between two such cases. 
R R R R R R R  (2) Wiring segregations or routes For safety and possible interference reasons, electrical harness are routed with respect to their nature and function in a number of physically separated routes. These wiring segregations or routes are dispatched in several categories depending the aircraft type. A 2-digit reference is used to identify these categories (ref. chapter 20-33-20). 
R  B. Harness identification reference (Ref. Fig. 001)
R  (1) Identification of routes (only A340) Route identification markers must indicate the routes inside the harness and position them to prevent risks of errors resulting from in-service retrofit work. There are mainly placed in zones of high wiring density. They can also be used to specify harness pick-up points. This harness identification is a reference given on 3 line max : - First line : Zone or geographical location of the bundle (max 19 characters).
