 (2) Identification of aircraft number

 This bundle identification prevents the risk of harness inversion
 with respect to the aircraft number.
 This reference gives on 3 line max :

 -First line : Zone or geographical location of the bundle (max 19 characters).
 -Second line : aircraft number (MSN).
 -Third line : part number of the harness Routes and sub-routes (max 19 characters per line).
 Example :  F10/PFL 1001VB AV0001 F929 1160 000 00

3. Bundle identification marking Cables harnesses are marked by adhesive labels (E0683) or identification labels (E0248).
 A. Marking type and positioning (Ref. Fig. 001)
 (1) Ordinary harnesses The identification marking is made with E0683 labels. This type of marking is yellow, self-adhesive and stamped in black. The reference will be repeated on the label as many times as the loom diameter permits (two designations min.). The positioning of the label on the bundle depends on the wiring direction.

NOTE : In some specific cases where the bundle has protective sleeves longer than 500 mm (19.6850 in.) ; identification marking must be the E0248 label positioned on the protective sleeve ends, 10 mm (0.3937 in.) from the clamps.
 (2)
 Sheathed pylon harnesses The identification marking is made with E248-6H label and fixed on the harness by NSA8420 lacing or NSA937201 sleeve. This type of marking is yellow and stamped in black.

 Cable end identification Identification by label E0248. The cables that end up on the same connecting component are identified by a label E0248 (2 holes). The marker can be marked to the electrical identifier of the component written on one or two lines centered :

 -horizontally in relation to the vertical sides of the placard,
 -vertically in relation to the placard attachment holes. (Ref. chapter 20-32-51)

ELECTRICAL ITEMS FUNCTIONNAL IDENTIFICATION - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
R  _______1. General 
This chapter gives the identification and marking rules applicable to the electrical standards items.
R  ________________________________________________2. Electrical items functional identification rules 
Identification of each item is made by a permanent label showing the functional item number (FIN).
 A. Definition
R  (1) Functional Item Numbers (FIN) 
The electrical equipment on the aircraft is identified by a unique identifier designated Functional Item Number (FIN). The basic element of the FIN is :
R  - a two letter code indicating to which system circuit the equipment belongs or indicating, for all components not specifically related to a circuit, a fictitious circuit (letter V) and the type of component, - prefixes and/or suffixes which give the unique identification for individual items of equipment. Example: 19VC-A
R  ____NOTE : Identical components which carry out the same function in the same circuit are differenciated by a suffix number. The general rule is that an event suffix identifies a component on the right hand side and an odd suffix identifies a component on the left hand side. Example: 14CA1

R  (2) Fictitious circuit (letter V) 
R R R R R R  Fictitious circuits (letter V) have been created to cover cases where there is no specific identification under which a component may be given. For example component which are directly associated with a geographical block or which interface with several circuits. All these fictitious components are identified in the equipment list of their fictitious circuit.
 There are different kinds of electrical fictitious components : - Components covered by a standard par number e.g. : VS (splice), VP (pressure seals), VC (connector),...
