 _________3. Procedure
 A. Selection 
R  Clamp P/Ns are usually given in the IPC. However, use the two points 
R  below to do a check of the dimensions on installation :
 (1) Type of clamp
 Selection of the type of clamp :
 Specific cases : 
R  - bundles with protection, with convoluted conduits E0432, NSA935805 
R  or NSA935806, use "P" clamps NSA935807.
 - bundles with protection, installed in composite fuel compartment, 
R  use clamp ABS1339FXX or NSA5515.
 - bundles without protection installed in small VUs, use clamp type
 NSA5515 with silicone tape ASNA5107.
 Other cases :
 - in areas where hydraulic fluid (type SKYDROL) is present, the
 clamps used are NSA5516XXXXNJ type. 
R  - in the metal fuel compartment, use NSA5516XXXXNF or ABS1339FXX. 
R  - in the other area use NSA5516XXXXND or ABS1339DXX.
 - for temperatures of less than 80 deg.C (176.00 deg.F) the clamps
 used are NSA5516XXXXX type.
 - for temperatures of more than 80 deg.C (176.00 deg.F) the clamps
 used are NSA5516CXXXXX type.
 (2) Clamp dimensions
 The selection of clamp dimensions depends on :
 the clamp must be as small as possible for installation on the wire
 bundle.
 - Not too large :
 When attached, the clamp must correctly hold the bundle to prevent
 the fretting of the bundle because of friction.
 It must not let the bundle move through the clamp when a slight
 axial pull is applied.
 - Not too small :
 Clamps must be fully closed but they must not crush the bundle (no
 wires must be pinched between the 2 clamp fastener lugs.
 The clamp lugs must not be twisted and must be correctly aligned.
 B. Installation
 (1) Clamp installation on the bundle
 (Ref. Fig. 002)
 - Do a selection of the applicable type of clamp to install.
 - Do a selection of the applicable dimensions of the clamp.

R R  ____NOTE : For ABS1339, use a cable tie NSA935401-05 to attach the harness.
R R R  ____NOTE : If it is not possible to get a clamp of the correct size, use a clamp of a larger diameter than that of the wire bundle to be attached, and wind self-adhesive silicone tape ASNA5107 around the bundle to get a normal grip of the clamp. - Install the clamp around the bundle.
 ____NOTE : For NSA5516 or MS21919 : - the lining must not fall out of the support and the 2 ends must overlap correctly. - particular cases for clamp sizes -02, -03 and -04 without tab, wind around the bundle, in all areas, with self-adhesive silicone tape ASNA5107.
R R  ____NOTE : At the hinge point, the bundle of a diameter more than 15 mm (0.5905 in.) must be held in position at each side of the hinge with two clamps NSA5516 (or equivalent), and protected by tape ASNA5107 at the location of the clamps.
