Procedure

 S 844-048
 (1)  Set the hose assembly on the main landing gear and attach it to the gear with the clamps.
 NOTE: Make sure that the markers on the hose (V-1 thru V-4) are
____ installed correctly in relation to the clamp.

Add a section of teflon spiral wrap over the existing teflon tape.

 (3)  
Wrap two layers of 1.50 inches long of Scotch No. X-1155 tape to hold the ends of the teflon spiral wrap.

 (4)  
Make an overlap wraps by approximately 0.25 inch.

 (5)  Use panduit (BACS38K5) to attach each end of the spiral tape.
 NOTE: The spiral wrap can be under and held on by the loop clamp.

Remove the front cover of the J-box assembly temporarily.

Use nuts and washers and attach the J-box assembly to the clamps.

 NOTE: Make sure that the hole through the J-box assembly and the

Tighten the nuts that holds the J-box assembly to the clamps.

Put the expandable fitting through the J-box and into the hole in the axle.

 Put the cone (tapered end first) into the expandable fitting while you are holding the expandable fitting.

 Tighten the axle housing fitting into the expandable fitting until the assembly is secure.

 Seal the wires inside the fitting by injecting BAC5010 TYPE 60 sealant (refer to BAC5550) after installation of wiring to antiskid system is complete.

 (13)
 Install the elbow in the J-box assembly.

 (14)
 Turn the elbow to align with clamp under the axle.

 (15)
 Install locknut in the elbow and tighten locknut.

 Install the conduit assemblies in the box connectors with wire bundles put through the J-box assembly.
