(e)  
Align a hole in the fuse bolt (7) with the hole in the key washer (1).

 (f)  
Tighten the fuse bolt (7) bolt to 5000 - 5500 pound-inches lube torque.

 (g)  
Install the lockbolt (6) through the head of the fuse bolt (7) and the key washer (1). 1) Tighten the lockbolt (6) to the standard torque. 2) Install the lockwire on the lockbolt (6) and the bearing

 fuse bolt (7).

 (h)  
Remove the forward trunnion bearing and the trunnion link assembly from the drag strut and the shock strut.

 (5)  
Install the forward trunnion bearing and trunnion link assembly in the rear spar of the wing (Stage 1, Fig. 409).

 (a)  
Apply BMS 3-28 antiseize compound to the external threads of the bearing assembly (3) and to the internal threads of the bearing support fitting (8), (Fig. 407).

 (b)  
Install the bearing assembly (3) in the bearing support fitting

 as far forward as possible (Fig. 407).

 (c)  
Lift the aft end of the trunnion link (9) as high as possible and use a rope or line to tie it in position.

 (6)  
Prepare to install the main landing gear shock strut.

 (a)  
If necessary, use the applicable holding fixture to support the remainder of the landing gear assembly.

 (b)  
Attach the upper end of the upper drag strut to the shock strut with a line (Stage 2, Fig. 409).

 (c)  
Put the gear assembly in position below the wing with the torsion links in the forward direction (Stage 2, Fig. 409).

 (d)  
Put the gear assembly, in position with the lower end tilted aft and lift it into position.

 NOTE: This step is necessary to make sure the gear will not
____ touch the trunnion link when you install it in the aft trunnion bearing.
 (e)  
Install the alignment tool on the aft trunnion journal of the shock strut.

 (f)  
Slowly and carefully adjust the position of the gear by forward, aft, up, and down movements.

 NOTE: These adjustments are done to align the aft trunnion
____ journal with the aft trunnion bearing . A minimum of three persons must hold the gear during this operation.
 (g)  If lateral adjustment is necessary, move the gear forward and aft, left and right.

 (7)  
Install the main landing gear shock strut (Fig. 408).

 (a)  
Install the aft trunnion journal of the shock strut in the aft trunnion bearing (Fig. 408). 1) Move the lower end of the gear forward to move the aft

 trunnion journal fully into the aft trunnion bearing (12). 2) Install the key (8), the washer (7), and the fuse nut (6).
