 (1)  Make sure that all ground lock pins on the nose and main landing gear are installed (AMM 09-11-00/201).

Make sure that the Engine Indication and Crew Alerting System (EICAS), Electronic Interface Unit (EIU) and Proximity Switch Electronic Unit (PSEU) are operational.

Test Body Gear and Door Extension and Retraction System

 (1)  
Pressurize hydraulic systems No. 1 and 4 (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Make sure that all personnel are clear from all landing gear doors.

Make sure the GND TESTS switch on the P461 overhead panel is in the ENABLE position.

Make sure that the RCDU GND TESTS switch is in the NORMAL position.

 (5)  
Do a test of the body gear and door disagree indication.

 (a)  
Move the landing gear control lever to the DN position.

 (b)  
Make sure that the GEAR DISAGREE caution and GEAR DOOR advisory messages do not appear on the upper EICAS display.

 NOTE: Page through all EICAS display pages for messages.

 (c)  
Turn the EIU select switch on the P2-4 panel between L, C and R. 1) Make sure the GEAR DISAGREE caution and GEAR DOOR advisory

 messages do not appear for the L, C, and R EIUs.

 (d)
Move the landing gear control lever to the OFF position.

 (e)  Make sure that the GEAR DISAGREE caution message appears on the
 upper EICAS display.
 NOTE: There is approximately a 25 to 35-second time delay____
 after the control lever is moved from DN to OFF or UP
 before the GEAR DISAGREE message appears.
 (f)  Turn the EIU select switch on the P2-4 panel between L,
 C and R.
 (g)  Make sure the GEAR DISAGREE caution message appears for the L,
 C, and R EIUs.
 (h)  Move the landing gear control lever to the UP position while
 the gear is locked down.
 1) Make sure that the GEAR DISAGREE caution message appears on
 the upper EICAS display.
 2) Make sure that the GEAR DOOR advisory message appears on
 the upper EICAS display when the doors are open.
 NOTE: There is approximately a 25 to 35-second time delay____
 after the doors are first opened before the GEAR
 DOOR message appears.
 3) Make sure that the upper EICAS gear display shows a symbol
 for each of the five gear and indicates that all five gear
 are in the "DOWN" position.
 NOTE: If the gear moves while it is pinned down, an in____
 transit condition can appear instead of a DN
 condition.
 4) Make sure that the EICAS GEAR lower display indicates that
 all five gear doors are open (five slashed boxes).
 5) Turn the EIU select switch on the P2-4 panel between L, C,
