Manually turn the lift power unit until the clearance between the actuator arm and the downstop is 0.20 +/-0.01 inch (Detail D).

Do these steps if it is necessary to remove the torque tube from the rotary actuator (Detail B):

Remove the screws that hold the coupling to the input shaft of the rotary actuator.

 (b)  
Disengage the coupling from the shaft on the rotary actuator.

Remove the torque tube.

Remove the bolts that attach the rotary actuator to the bearing housing.

Pull the rotary actuator away from the bearing housing until the input and output shafts are clear (Section A-A).

Put a thin layer of grease on the splines of these parts:

 (a)  
The quill shafts

 (b)  
The rotary actuators

 (c)  
The torque tubes (if it is necessary).

 WARNING: DO NOT PUT ROTARY ACTUATORS WITH DIFFERENT PART NUMBERS
_______ TOGETHER ON THE SAME DOOR. IF YOU PUT ROTARY ACTUATORS WITH DIFFERENT PART NUMBERS ON THE SAME DOOR, THE DOOR CAN CLOSE ACCIDENTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (3)  
Put the quill shaft on the input shaft of the first rotary actuator as shown in View A-A.

Install the first rotary actuator on the bearing housing.

 NOTE: To remove backlash in the actuators, hold the output shaft

Make sure that the splines of the actuator shafts engage with the splines of the quill shaft and the actuator arm.

Push the actuator into the bearing housing.

Align the bolt holes in the rotary actuator and the bearing housing.
