(c) Make sure that there are no leaks on the piston housing, the pistons and the hydraulic lines.
(3)
Make sure that the bleed plugs, the temperature sensor and the self-sealing couplings are in the correct position.
(4)
With the brakes on, make sure that the wear indicators are in the limits.
NOTE : Measure the wear pin when the brake is cold (Brake temperature
____
less than 60 deg.C).
NOTE : When the end of either wear pin aligns with the machined
____ surface of the piston housing, the heat pack is fully worn. You must replace the brake unit (Ref. TASK 32-42-27-000-001). (Ref. Fig. 601A/TASK 32-42-27-991-002-B)
NOTE : For a new brake, measure the distance between the end of the
____ wear pin and the machined surface of the piston housing. This distance must be 61 mm (2.40 in.) maximum. If more than the maximun value replace the brake (Ref. TASK 32-42-27-000-001) (Ref. TASK 32-42-27-400-001). (Ref. Fig. 601A/TASK 32-42-27-991-002-B)
NOTE : The brake units usually have two wear pins.
____ If you find a brake that does not have the two wear pins: -the brake is serviceable if there is one wear pin and the wear pin is in the limits.
R -you must deactivate the brake if there is no wear pin on the R brake unit (Ref. TASK 32-42-00-040-003) .
