 A. Clean the Seals
 WARNING : DO NOT GET THE CLEANING FLUID ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES. PUT_______ ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING, GOGGLES AND A FACE MASK. USE THE FLUID IN A WELL VENTILATED AREA. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS IF YOU GET CLEANING FLUID ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES, FLUSH IT AWAY WITH WATER. GET MEDICAL AID IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.
 (1) Clean the surface of the seals (15) with a clean cloth made moist with methyl alcohol (Material No. CP11006)

 B. Visual Inspection of the Seals
 (1) Examine the seals for signs of oxidation, carbon flakes and foreign materials on the face that touches the duct flanges.
 (2) Examine the surface and the edges of the seals for dents, pitting, cracks, scratches and distortion.
 (3) If you cannot remove the foreign materials from the seals or if you find damage or distortion, replace the seals.

R  C. Installation of the Bleed Pressure Regulator Valve
 (1) Remove the blanking plugs from the two ends of the bleed pressure regulator valve (30) and from the ducts (5) and (10). 
R R  (2) Remove the protective covers from the HP sense tube (25), the sense hose (35) and the bleed pressure regulator valve (30).
R  (3) Remove the protective covers from the electrical connectors on the wire harness and the bleed pressure regulator valve (30).

 (4) Put the bleed pressure regulator valve (30) in position between the mid stage tee-duct (10) and the interface duct (5).
 NOTE : Make sure that the flow arrow on the valve points to the
____
 interface duct.

 (5) Make sure that the sense tube (25), the sense hose (35) and the
 unions are serviceable. R
R (6) Loosely attach the bleed pressure regulator valve (30) to the ducts
 (5) and (10) with the couplings (20) and the seals (15). Do not tighten the couplings at this time.
R (7) Connect the HP sense tube (25) to the bleed pressure regulator valve
 (30) and make sure the HP sense tube is in the correct position.
R (8) Torque the coupling nut:
 CAUTION : USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTER TORQUE TO THE UNION ON
_______ THE VALVE WHEN YOU CONNECT THE HP SENSE TUBE.
 (a) TORQUE the coupling nut on the HP sense tube (25) to between 1.52 and 1.69 m.daN (11.20 and 12.46 lbf.ft).
R (9) Connect the sense hose (35) to the bleed pressure regulator valve (30).
R (10) Do the steps that follow to torque the coupling nuts:
 CAUTION : MAKE SURE THE SMOOTH CIRCULAR SURFACE OF THE COUPLING IS
_______ RADIALLY OUTBOARD FROM THE ENGINE. DO NOT LET THE COUPLING TOUCH ENGINE COMPONENTS OR STRUCTURE. DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENTS OR STRUCTURE COULD OCCUR.
 (a)
 TORQUE the coupling nut to the value shown on the coupling.

 (b)
 Lightly hit the perimeter of the coupling with a fiber hammer then torque the coupling nut again.

 (c)
 Do the torque procedure two times, then torque the coupling nut again.

R (11) Connect the electrical connector 4001HA-A to the bleed pressure regulator valve (30). Tighten the connector by hand plus one-eighth turn.

 D. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 3HA1, 2HA1, 3HA2, 2HA2

 E. Do the Leak Test of the Bleed Pressure Regulator Valve (4001HA) with the Engine in Operation (Ref. TASK 36-11-52-790-001).
 NOTE : As an alternative procedure, you can do this leak test without the

 engine in operation:

 -first method with the APU in operation (Ref. TASK 36-11-52-790-001)
