-make sure that the warning notice to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system is in position.

On the ENG section of the maintenance panel 50VU:
-
make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton switch is off,
-
make sure that the warning notice to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2) is in position.

Make sure that the access platform is in position below the engine.

A. Installation of the Overpressure Valve
CAUTION : USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTER TORQUE TO THE UNION ON THE
_______
VALVE WHEN YOU CONNECT THE HP SENSE TUBE.
(1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.

(2) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the protective covers from the valve (6) and the ducts.
(4) Install the valve (6) on the pneumatic line (1) (put the control mechanism in position at the rear).
NOTE : The arrow which shows the direction of the flow of air points____ up.
(5) Install the clamps.
CAUTION : MAKE SURE THAT THE SCREWS OF THE ATTACHMENT CLAMPS ON THE_______ OVERPRESSURE VALVE ARE IN THE CORRECT POSITION. IF NOT, THE SCREWS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE FIREWAL OF THE THRUST REVERSER COWL.
(a) Install the clamp (2) but do not fully tighten it.
(6) Put the pneumatic line (4) in position.
(7) Install the clamp (5).
(8) Torque the clamps (2) and (5) to the value given on the clamps.
(9) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(10) Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.
(11) Connect the electrical connector (3).

R B. Preparation for the leak test
R R (1) There are two possible procedures to find the location of a pneumatic joint air-leak:
R R (a) You can apply developer, dry (Material No. CP3010) around the pneumatic joints.
R R R NOTE : Apply dry developer only on the connections of the removed____ pneumatic components. Do not apply dry developer on all the pneumatic components.
R (b) You can install FOIL-ALUMINUM (Local Purchase) around the
R pneumatic joint locations. Do the steps that follow to install
R foil, aluminum on the pneumatic joint locations:
R 1_ Wind the foil around the joint one time.
R 2_ Twist the seam of the foil wrap tight.
R 3_ Make the foil wrap as tight as possible on the tube but do not
R cause damage to the wrap.
R 4_ Attach the foil wrap with safetywire 0,024in. (0,6mm)
R (Material No. CP8004) on the two sides of the pneumatic joint.

R C. Do these Tests
(1) Do the Operational Test to do a check of the CURRENT STATUS of the
R engine /APU bleed-air system (Ref. TASK 36-11-00-710-001) and make
R sure that the BIT 11 of the LABEL 067 (066) is at 0.
R (2) Do a functional check of the overpressure valve (Ref. TASK 36-11-53-
R 720-001)
R (3) Remove the warning notice from the HP ground connector.
R (4) Connect an air supply source to the HP ground connector.
R (5) On the AIR COND panel 30VU, set the X-BLEED selector switch to OPEN.
R (6) Apply a stable pressure of 30 psi (2.07 bar) to the HP ground
connector.
R (7) Make sure that there are no leaks at the joints between the
R overpressure valve, the sensor lines and the ducts on the related
engine.
R NOTE : There is a leak when the foil installed on the duct breaks or____
R when it is too hot. There is a leak when the leak air removes
