A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
On the panel 25VU make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(2)
Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(3)
Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4)
Make sure that ground fire extinguishing equipment is available.
(5)
Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.
(6)
Make sure that the APU access doors are open (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).

A. Installation of the De-Oiling Solenoid Valve (8083KM)
(1)
Apply a layer of lubricant OILS (Material No. 03-002) to the new O-ring (6).
(2)
Install the O-ring (6) to the de-oiling solenoid valve (8083KM) (5).
(3)
Remove the blanking plug from the accessory gearbox.
(4)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(5)
Install the de-oiling solenoid valve (8083KM) (5).
(6)
Install the washers (4) and the bolts (3).
(7)
TORQUE the bolts (3) to 0.56 m.daN (49.55 lbf.in) and safety them with lockwire-corrosion resistant steel 0.8 mm (0.032 in) dia.
(8)
Remove the blanking cap from the electrical connection (2) and connect the electrical connection (2) to the de-oiling solenoid valve.
(9)
Remove the blanking cap from the tube (1), connect the tube (1) to the de-oiling solenoid valve (8083KM) (5).
(10) TORQUE the tube (1) to between 2.15 and 2.45 m.daN (15.85 and 18.06 lbf.ft). R **ON A/C 001-003, 051-099, 401-499,

A. Installation of the De-oiling Solenoid Valve
(1)
Apply a thin layer oil to the O-ring (8).
(2)
Install the jam-nut (10), the new nylon washer (9) and the new O-ring
(8) on the de-oil adapter (11).
(3)
Installation of the de-oil adapter NOTE : Make sure that you install the de-oil adapter on the up-stream
____ side of the valve (see arrow on valve body).
(a) Turn the de-oil adapter (11) into the de-oiling solenoid (16) and tighten the jam-nut (10) hand tight.
(4)
Apply a thin layer of oil to the O-ring (5) .
(5)
Install the jam-nut (3), the new nylon washer (4) and the new O-ring
(5) on the elbow fitting (2).
(6)
Installation of the elbow fitting NOTE : Make sure that you install the elbow fitting on the
(a) Turn the elbow fitting (2) into the de-oiling solenoid valve (16) and tighten the jam-nut (3) hand tight.
(7)
Install the bonding strap (13), the bolt (17), the washer (6) and the nut (7) on the de-oiling solenoid valve (16).
(8)
Install the new O-ring (12) into the gearbox groove.
(9)
Tighten the de-oil valve assy and the bonding strap with the bolts
____ down-stream side of the valve (see arrow on valve body).
(14) on the gearbox pad.
(10)
Connect the accessory-gearbox vent pipe (1) to the de-oil valve assy.
(11)
Tighten the jam-nuts (3) and (10).
(12)
Remove the blanking caps and connect the electrical connector (15) to the de-oil valve assy.
