A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2)
On the panel 25VU make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(3)
Put a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4)
Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).

C. Get Access
(1)
Put the access platform in position below the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2)
Open the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
4. Procedure

A. Oil Change
(Ref. Fig. 301/TASK 49-90-00-991-003)
(1)
Position the container below the magnetic drain plug.
(2)
Remove the filler cap, this will allow the oil to drain quicker.
(3)
Remove the magnetic element (Ref. TASK 49-91-42-000-002) and install the GEARBOX DRAINING TUBE (TB9069G001) NOTE: If GEARBOX DRAINING TUBE is not available, remove the complete drain plug.
NOTE : If you think that the condition of the drained oil is not
____ correct, do a sampling of the APU oil for analysis (Ref. TASK 12-32-49-281-001).
(4) Remove the GEARBOX DRAINING TUBE and install the magnetic element (Ref. TASK 49-91-42-400-002).
NOTE : If the GEARBOX DRAINING TUBE was not available, install the
____
complete magnetic drain plug.
(5)
Replace the pressure oil filter-element (Ref. TASK 49-91-41-920-001).
(6)
Replace the AC-generator scavenge filter-element (Ref. TASK 49-91-41-920-002).
(7)
Fill the APU oil reservoir (Ref. TASK 49-90-00-600-004). NOTE : If you fill the APU oil reservoir with an oil of a different
____ brand or type to the oil which was drained, you must do the complete drain and fill procedure two times. This is necessary to make sure that the mixture of the oils which are of a different brand or type ie kept to a minimum.
(a)
Make sure that the oil filler cap is installed correctly and tight.
(b)
Remove the remaining oil from the gravity oil filler and make it dry with a lint-free cloth.
(8) Remove the container.
5. Close-up

A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1KD, 2KD

B. Test
(1)
Operate the APU for five minutes (Ref. TASK 49-00-00-860-005) and (Ref. TASK 49-00-00-860-006).
(2)
Examine the magnetic drain plug and oil filters area for evidence of oil leaks. NOTE: No leaks are permitted.

C. Close Access
(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the off position.
(3)
Close the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(4)
