Tighten the hinge cover screws.

Install the bolts, washers, and nuts that connect the tab control rods to the tab mast.

Tighten the nuts to 50-70 pound-inches.
(o)
Install the forward part of the tab fairing.
1) If it is necessary, adjust the forward part of the tab fairing: a) Loosen the three screws. b) Move the fairing position to give a clearance with the
aileron fairing at all the tab positions.

Operate the aileron control wheel through full travel.
(a)
Make sure the balance tab moves freely in the opposite direction to the aileron.

(7) Do a check of the distance between the aileron trailing edge and the aileron tab trailing edge:
NOTE: The index mark on the aileron must align with the index mark
____ on the wing (use a tolerance of +/- 0.03 inch) when you do this check.
(a)
Use a straightedge or an aileron tab alignment protractor to measure the distances.
(b)
Measure 0.50 |0.25 inch in from the inboard end of balance tab.
1) Make sure the tab trailing edge aligns with the extension of the aileron bottom surface between +0.00 to +0.14 inch.
(c)
Measure 0.50 |0.25 inch in from the outboard end of the balance tab. 1) Make sure the tab trailing edge aligns with the extension
of the aileron bottom surface between +0.00 to +0.14 inch.
(d)
Measure at the middle point along the balance tab.
1) Make sure the tab trailing edge aligns with the extension of the aileron bottom surface between +0.05 to +0.09 inch.
(e)
Add the dimensions from steps (b) thru (d).
(f)
Make sure the total dimension is between +0.30 and +0.12 inch.
