(c) Remove the straightedge, SPL-1671 from the control wheels.
(d) Operate the captain’s control wheel for 20 times.
NOTE: The spoiler mixer must be installed to move the cables.
1) Do not turn the control wheel more than 100 degrees from the neutral position.
(e) Move the speed brake lever to the UP position.
(f) Operate the captain’s control wheel for 20 times.

(g) Move the speed brake lever to the DOWN position.
(h) Decrease the tension in the cables to get the correct tension (Table 501).
(i) Operate the captain’s control wheel two to three times.
(j) Put the captain’s control wheel back to the neutral position.
SUBTASK 27-61-00-820-001
(2) If the cables WSA1, WSA2, WSB1, and WSB2 are not new, do these steps to adjust the cables:
(a) Adjust the tension in the cables until you get the correct value (Table 501).
1) To adjust the cables, loosen one cable and tighten the other cable the same amount.
(b) Move the speed brake lever to the UP position.
