(3) Install the rig pins A/S-1 and A/S-1A from the test set rig pin kit, SPL-1585 in the aileron transfer
mechanism.
(a) Make sure the rig pin A/S-1 is fully installed in the aileron transfer mechanism and will not
fall out.

(4) Remove the right floor panel between the seat tracks at the second window aft of the wing
escape hatch:
(a) Do this task: Passenger Seat Removal, TASK 25-22-00-000-801.
(b) Do this task: Carpet Removal, TASK 25-27-15-000-801.
(c) Do this task: Passenger Cabin Floor Panel Removal, TASK 53-21-00-000-801.
F. Spoiler Control Quadrant Removal
SUBTASK 27-61-41-020-001
(1) Disconnect aileron control cable AA [1] and cable AB [3]:
(a) Install the turnbuckle clamps on the cable AA [1] and cable AB [3] to keep a small tension
when you disconnect the cable turnbuckles [2].
(b) Disconnect the cable turnbuckles [2].
(c) Remove cable AA [1] and cable AB [3] from the spoiler cable quadrant [5].
(d) Install a tag on cable AA [1] and cable AB [3] for identification during the installation.

(2) Remove the spoiler cable quadrant [5].
(a) Remove nuts [9], washers [8], washers [7] and bolts [6] that attach the spoiler cable
quadrant [5] to the quadrant shaft [36].
(b) Remove the nut [19], washer [18], washer [17] and bolt [16] that attaches the ratio changer
input rod [35] to the upper control crank [15].
(c) Remove the nut [30], washer [29], washer [28] and bolt [27] that attaches the aileron spring
cartridge [31] to the aileron input crank [26].
(d) Remove the nuts [24], washers [23], washers [22] and bolts [21] that attach the quadrant
shaft support bracket [25] to the forward bulkhead [20].
(e) Remove the nuts [14], washers [13], washers [12] and bolts [11] that attach the bearing
retainer [38] to the wheel well ceiling [37].
(f) Break the pressure seal between the bearing retainer [38] and the wheel well ceiling [37].
(g) Disconnect the quadrant shaft [36] from the spoiler control quadrant [5].
(h) Lower the quadrant shaft [36] from the wheel well ceiling [37] and remove it from the
airplane.
(i) Remove the spoiler cable quadrant [5] from the airplane.
