 For the spoiler 3, pressurize the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-863-003).

 4. Procedure

 Subtask 27-64-00-220-054
 A. With a feeler gauge, measure the clearance X between the underside of the spoiler trailing edge and the upper surface of the flap. The clearance X must be:
 (1) For the spoiler 1: X=3.5 +0 +1.5 mm (0.1377 +0.0000 +0.0590 in.)
 NOTE : You must do this measurement at the trailing edge of the
____ spoiler (not titanium extension plate).
 (2) For the spoiler 2: X=2 +0.5 -0.5 mm (0.0787 +0.0196 -0.0196 in.)
 NOTE : You must do this measurement:
____
 -
at the trailing edge of the spoiler (not titanium extension plate).

 -
at the outboard end of the spoiler.

 (3) For the spoilers 3 and 4: X=-2 +0.5 -0.5 mm (-0.0787 +0.0196 -0.0196 in.)
 NOTE : You must do this measurement at the closest point (point where
____ the gap between the spoiler and the flap is the smallest).
 (a)
 Adjustment of the interference X without tool. To get the negative clearance do as follows:

 (b)
 Adjustment of the interference X with the SPOILER POSITION CHECK TOOL (98D27603000001).

 1_ Adjust the servocontrol (Ref. Para. B) in order to measure:
 X = 2 +0.5 -0.5 mm (0.0787 +0.0196 -0.0196 in.).
 2_ Adjust the servocontrol again (Ref Para. B) by half a turn
 clockwise in order to get the negative clearance.

 1 Install the SPOILER POSITION CHECK TOOL (98D27603000001) as
_ follows: - on the upper surface of the wing - on the trailing edge of the spoiler

 - on the axis of the servocontrol.
 2_ Read the position of the spoiler.
 3_ Remove the LOCKING TOOL - FLAP/SLAT CONTROL LEVER
 (98D27803000000).
 4_ Extend the flaps (Ref. TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
 NOTE : Put the flap and slat control lever to the position 1.____
 5_ Read the new position of the spoiler .
 The difference of positions gives the negative clearance X.
 6_ Retract the flaps (Ref. TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
 7_ Install the LOCKING TOOL - FLAP/SLAT CONTROL LEVER
 (98D27803000000).
 8_ If necessary, adjust the servocontrol (Ref. Para. B).

 (4) For the spoiler 5: X=0 +0 +0.5 mm (0.0000 +0.0000 +0.0196 in.)
 NOTE : You must do this measurement at the closest point (point where
____ the gap between the spoiler and the flap is the smallest).
 (a) Adjustment of the clearance X without tool. To get the clearance do as follows:
 1 Adjust the servocontrol (Ref. Para. B) in order to measure:
_ X = 4 +0 +0.5 mm (0.1574 +0.0000 +0.0196 in.).
 2 Adjust the servocontrol again (Ref. Para. B) by half a turn
_ clockwise in order to get the clearance.
 (b) Adjustment of the clearance X with the SPOILER POSITION CHECK TOOL (98D27603000001).
 1 Install the SPOILER POSITION CHECK TOOL (98D27603000001) as
_ follows: - on the upper surface of the wing - on the trailing edge of the spoiler - on the axis of the servocontrol.
 2 Read the position of the spoiler.
