 Remove the old sealant from the floor panels and the component interface with a non metallic scraper if the sealant is not easy to remove use CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-003) and a lint-free cloth.

 Remove the adhesive of the old strips with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-021).

 Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

 Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.

 D. Inspection of the Adhesive Tape
 (1) Make sure that adhesive tapes are clean and in correct condition. If necessary, repair the related adhesive tape (Ref. TASK 53-12-00-300-001).

 A. Installation of the FWD Avionics-Compartment Floor-Panels

 Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.

 Put the floor panels (4).

 (3)
 Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-002) to the screws (3).

 (4)
 Install the screws (3) and tighten them.

 (5)
 Put the stiffener (2) in position.

 (6)
 Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-002) to the screws (1).

 (7)
 Install the screws (1) and TORQUE them to between 0.15 and 0.40 m.daN

 Install the screws (13) and TORQUE them to between 0.15 and 0.40 m.daN (13.27 and 35.39 lbf.in)

 Put the floor panels (20) and (21) in position.

 (6)
 Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-002) to the screws (19).

 (7)
 Install the screws (19) with the washers (18).

 (8)
 TORQUE the screws (19) to between 0.15 and 0.40 m.daN (13.27 and

 35.39 lbf.in)

 (9)
 Install the panel (12).

 (10)
 Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-002) to the screws (11).

 Install the screws (11) and TORQUE them to between 0.15 and 0.40 m.daN (13.27 and 35.39 lbf.in)

 C. Application of the Sealants
 (1)
 Install the cord MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-002) in the gap between the floor panels. Make a loop at the end of the cord, this helps for the next removal procedure.

 Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-018) in the joints between the floor panels.
