On the bracket for the upper swivel, install the retainer if it is necessary: 1) Install the retainer with the bolt, washer and nut.

Install the washer on the upper swivel.

Install the upper swivel in the bracket with the swivel tube inboard.

Install the washer and nut to attach the upper swivel to the bracket.

Install the flexible tube:

 (a)  
Put the flexible tube in its position on the airplane: 1) Put the flexible tube through the three clamps on the drag

 strut. 2) Put the flexible tube above the landing gear trunnion. 3) Put the flexible tube through the two clamps in the wing
 structure.
 (b)  
Install the cable guide adjacent to the landing gear trunnion.

 (c)  
Connect the flexible tube to the two swivels: 1) Hold the flexible tube and tighten the captive bushings to

 25-40 pound-inches. 2) Make sure the flexible tube does not have kinks. 3) On the lower swivel, install the lockwire between the nuts
 and the captive bushing. 4) On the upper swivel, install the lockwire between the nut, the bracket and the captive bushing.
 (d)  
Tighten the three clamps to attach the flexible tube to the drag strut. 1) Pull up on the flexible tube to make it tight.

 (e)  
Tighten the two clamps to attach the flexible tube to the wing structure. 1) Pull the flexible tube outboard to make it tight.

 (4)  
Install the cable:

 (a)  
Put the cable into the flexible tube through the upper swivel.

 (b)  
Install the protective boot on the adapter:

 (c)  
Attach the protective boot to the adapter with the clamp.

 1)  Install the clamp with the worm screw forward and the thumb flats inboard for clearance.

 (d)  
Move the guide tube fully on the swivel tube.

 (e)  
Install the collar on the cable with the end of the cable through the collar approximately 0.4 inch.

 (f)  
Engage the threads of the rod end adapter with the guide tube.

 (g)  
Hold the guide tube and tighten the rod end adapter to 100-120 pound-inches to attach the collar to the cable.

 (h)  
Make sure the end of the cable is between the two inspection holes in the rod end adapter.

 (i)  
Install the lockwire on the rod end adapter and the guide tube.

 (j)  
Connect the upper rod end to the interlock valve. 1) Make sure you can see the threads on the upper rod end

 adapter through the inspection hole in the upper rod end. 2) Install the upper rod end in the clevis on the valve lever. 3) Put the upper rod end in the valve lever and install the
 bolt with the head aft. 4) Install the spacer, washer, bushing, washer, and nut on the bolt forward of the clevis. 5) Tighten the bolt and install the cotter pin.
 (k)  Make sure the cable and the valve move freely.

 (l) (m) (n)  Install the spacer on the lower rod end.Connect the lower rod end to the landing gear torsion link with the bolt.Install the radius fillers, nut and cotter pin on the bolt.
 (5)  S 824-011Do the adjustment of the ground spoiler interlock valve cable (Ref 27-62-51/501).
 (6)  S 724-012Do the functional test of the ground spoiler interlock valve cable (Ref 27-62-51/501).
 (7)  S 724-013Do the functional test of the landing gear safety sensors (Ref 32-09-01/501).
 (8)  S 434-014Attach the protective boot to the spacer with the clamp. (a) Install the clamp with the worm screw forward and the thumb flats inboard for clearance.
