_______ DO NOT BREATHE THE FUMES FROM THE SOLVENT. PUT ON THE GOGGLES AND GLOVES BEFORE YOU USE THE SOLVENT. KEEP THE SOLVENT AWAY FROM SPARKS, FLAME, AND HEAT. THE SOLVENT IS POISONOUS AND FLAMMABLE AND CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRPLANE OR EQUIPMENT.
 (a)  
If you replace the seals, clean these mating surfaces with the solvent and a cheesecloth: 1) Surface between the retainer seal and outer reveal 2) Surface between the reveal seal and outer reveal 3) Surface between the window inboard frame and reveal seal 4) Surface between the outer pane seal and window outboard

 frame.

 (b)  
Remove the solvent with a cheesecloth before the solvent becomes dry.

 (c)  
Continue to clean the mating surfaces with the solvent until the mating surfaces are clean.

 (d)  
Mix the adhesive fully before you apply it to the mating surfaces.

 (e)  
Apply the adhesive to the mating surface of the reveal seal and outer reveal.

 (f)  Let the adhesive dry for 5 to 20 minutes. Make sure the adhesive is tacky but does not bond to your fingers when you touch it lightly.
 NOTE:____ To make the adhesive tacky and wet again, apply the cleaner with a cheesecloth to the adhesive.
 (g)  Push the reveal seal and outer reveal tightly together. Make sure you remove all of the air between the mating surfaces.
 NOTE:____ The adhesive will have 35% of its maximum strength immediately when you let it dry for the maximum time permitted. Do not use heat to dry the adhesive.
 (h) (i) (j) (k)  Clean the area around the reveal seal and outer reveal with the solvent and a cheesecloth if it is necessary.Install the outer pane seal to the outer pane.Put the outer pane with the outer pane seal on the window outboard frame and hold the outer pane.Put the spring assembly for the outer pane on the window outboard frame.
 CAUTION:_______ DO NOT COMPRESS THE SPRING ASSEMBLY TO 0.18 INCH OR LESS WHEN YOU INSTALL THE SPRING RETAINERS. THIS CAN PERMANENTLY SET THE
 SPRING ASSEMBLY AND PREVENT A SATISFACTORY WEATHER SEAL WHEN
 YOU INSTALL THE OUTER PANE.
 (l) (m) (n) (o) (p) (q)  Put the spring retainer on the window outboard frame.Install the spring retainer screws to each spring retainer and release the outer pane.Remove the sheet of cloth or equivalent material from the inner surface of the outer pane.Clean the inner surface of the outer pane (Ref 12-16-03/301).Apply the antistatic agent to the inner surface of the outer pane (Ref 12-16-03/301).Remove the sheet of cloth or equivalent material from the outer surface of the middle pane.

 (r)  Examine the middle pane for scratches, marks, or dents which
 you can see from a position in the airplane.
 1) Replace the middle pane if you see scratches, marks, or
 dents from a position in the airplane.
 (s)  Clean the outer surface of the middle pane (AMM 12-16-03/301).
 (t)  Apply the antistatic agent to the outer surface of the middle
 pane (AMM 12-16-03/301).
 CAUTION:_______ BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE AND TOUCH THE OUTER REVEAL. THE OUTER
 REVEAL IS PLASTIC AND CAN BE EASILY DAMAGED IF YOU ARE NOT
 CAREFUL.
 (u)  Install the reveal seal to the outer reveal.
 (v)  Put the outer reveal with the reveal seal on the window inboard
 frame.
 (w)  Put the middle pane seal on the middle pane.
 (x)  Put the middle pane with the middle pane seal on the window
 inboard frame and hold the middle pane.
 (y)  Put the retainer and retainer seal on the window inboard frame.
 (z)  Install the retainer screws to hold the middle pane in its
 position and release the middle pane.
