 E. Install the Heat Exchanger
 S 434-046
 (1)  If it is necessary, attach the heat exchanger (21) to the ram-air exit door (20).
 (a)  
Put the gasket (23) and filler (25) in their positions on the ram-air exit door (20).

 (b)  
Put the heat exchanger (21) in its position on the ram-air exit door (20).

 NOTE: Make sure the water aspirator fitting (22) is on the
____ same side as the door actuator.
 (c)  Install the bolts (7) and washers (8) to hold the heat exchanger to the ram-air exit door.

 (2)  If it is necessary, install the actuator (AMM 21-62-05/401) and the limit switch (AMM 21-62-12/401) to the ram-air exit door.
 NOTE: The installation of the actuator and the limit switch
____ will be necessary if the ram-air exit door was replaced. The adjustment of the limit switch must be done whenever the actuator is replaced.

 (3)  
Put the gasket (24) and filler (15) in their positions on the top of the heat exchanger.

 (4)  
Put the heat exchanger (21) on the lift tool.

Install the seals (3) and the sleeves (4) on the duct joints (4 locations).

 (6)  Lift the heat exchanger to its position in the air cooling pack.
 NOTE:____ Make sure the secondary arrow is on the left side and
 points aft.

 (7)  Install the bolts (16, 28), nuts (17, 29), and washers (18, 30) to
 hold the heat exchanger (21) in its position.

 (8)  Install the bolts (9, 11, 13, 26) and washers (10, 12, 14, 27) to
 hold the heat exchanger to the ram-air duct.

 (9)  Install the retainer (5) on the duct joints (4 locations).
 NOTE:____ If the heat exchanger duct end has a "V" groove, the retainer
 will be harder to rotate than if the heat exchanger did not
 have a "V" groove.  The amount of force to rotate the
 retainer depends on the interference between the retainer and
 the duct flange.  If you cannot rotate the retainer, it might
 mean the duct is not aligned correctly.

 Connect the water drain lines from the heat exchanger and the louver assembly.

 Connect the water aspirator tube (22) to the heat exchanger (21).

 To connect the bonding jumper (19) to the support bracket, do these steps:

 (a)  Use the solvent and the cheesecloth to clean and dry the bonding surfaces (AMM 20-11-14/701).
 NOTE: The bonding surfaces must be clean and dry to
____ provide a good electrical ground path.
 (b)  
Connect the bonding jumper (19) to the support bracket.

 (c)  
Use the bonding meter to measure the resistance between the bonding jumper terminal and the support bracket near the bonding jumper connection. (AMM 20-22-01/601).

 NOTE: If necessary, you can remove a small area of the
____ surface finish to make the measurement.
