D. Install the Fan

(1) Remove the covers from the duct openings.
(a) Make sure there is no unwanted material in the ducts.

To install the supply fan, put the fan (5) in its position with the flow arrow pointed forward.

To install the exhaust fan, put the fan (5) in its position with the flow arrow pointed down.

Install the bolts (3) and nuts (4) (supply fan only) that hold the fan to the shockmount.

Install a lockwire in the shockmount bolts (Ref 20-11-28/401).

Put the clevis (11), washer (14) (exhaust fan only), and support rod (17) in the fan bracket.

Install the nut (15) and the washer (16) on the clevis (11) to hold the support rod (17) to the fan (5).

Put the support rod (18) in the clevis (11).

Install the bolt (12) and the nut (13) to hold the support rod (18) to the clevis (11).

Put the duct sleeves (2) on each end of the fan (5).
(a) Make sure the duct joint is in the middle of the duct sleeve.

Install a clamp (1) on each end of the fan (5) to hold the duct sleeve (2) on the fan.

Connect the bonding jumper (7) to the fan (5) with the screw (8), washer (9), and nut (10).

(14) Move the EQUIP COOLING switch to the OVERRIDE position for at least 30 seconds but not more than 60 seconds.
E. Do the Installation Test for the Fan
