 E. Install the Limit Switch
 S 034-016
 (1)  Disconnect the electrical connector from the actuator of the ram air exit door for the applicable pack (1,2 or 3):
 (a)  
DV156 for pack 1

 (b)  
DV157 for pack 2

 (c)  
DV158 for pack 3.

 CAUTION:_______TURN THE ALLEN WRENCH MANUALLY WITH YOUR HAND. DO NOT USE AN ELECTRIC MOTOR, AN AIR-DRIVEN MOTOR OR A HAND DRILL TO TURN THE ALLEN WRENCH. THE GEARS IN THE ACTUATOR CAN BE DAMAGED IF YOU APPLY MORE THAN 15 POUND-INCHES OF TORQUE TO THE ALLEN WRENCH.
 (2)  Close the ram air exit door manually with the Allen wrench:
 (a)  
Install the Allen wrench into the adapter on the end of the gearbox which is at the opposite end of the linear screw.

 (b)  
Turn the Allen wrench until the exit door closes fully.

 (3)  
Put the limit switch into the support bracket with the lockwasher and one jamnut on the forward side of the support bracket.

 (4)  
Install the remaining jamnut to the limit switch on the aft side of the support bracket.

 (5)  Turn the jamnuts clockwise until the striker plate on the door linkage causes the limit switch to operate.
 NOTE: There will be continuity between terminals 1 and 3 on the

 switch when the switch operates.

Tighten the jamnuts with your fingers.

Open the ram air exit door manually with the Allen wrench.

Turn the jamnuts clockwise again until the jamnuts move
 3-1/2 (| 1/6) turns.

Tighten the jamnut which is on the forward side of the support bracket.

 Close the ram air exit door manually with the Allen wrench until there is continuity between the terminals 1 and 3 of the limit switch.

 F. Adjust the Limit Switch

Open the ram air exit door manually with the Allen wrench until there is no continuity between the terminals 1 and 3 of the limit switch.

Measure the distance from the forward end of the actuator body to the centerline of the actuator rod end bearing.

 NOTE: The distance must be 3.55|0.15 inches (9.02|0.38

 centimeters) as shown in Figure 401.

 (3)  Do these steps if the distance you measured is not 3.55 (|0.15) inches until the measurement is in the limits of the tolerance:
 (a)  
Adjust the jamnuts as necessary.

 (b)  
Close the ram air exit door manually with the Allen wrench until there is continuity between the terminals 1 and 3 of the limit switch.

 (c)  
Open the ram air exit door manually with the Allen wrench until there is no continuity between the terminals 1 and 3 of the limit switch.
