Remove the long spacer from the torque shaft.

 (8)  Remove the bearing retainer assembly and the shim from the torque shaft.
 (a)  
Remove the four bolts which hold the bearing retainer assembly to the ram air inlet mount.

 (b)  
Using a copper bar, gently push out the bearing retainer assembly from the inside.

 NOTE: Pushing the bearing retainer assembly improperly or
____ with too much force may cause damage to the bearing retainer assembly or the ram air inlet mount.

Remove the short spacer from the torque shaft.

 Hold the actuator links while you pull the torque shaft thru the hole in the structure.

 NOTE: The actuator links can cause damage to the inlet door if you

 (2)  S 424-026Continue to push the torque shaft until it engages fully with the spherical bearing in the bearing retainer assembly on the structure.
 (3)  S 434-027Put the short spacer on the torque shaft.
 (4)  S 434-028Put the shim and the bearing retainer assembly on the end of the torque shaft.
 (5)  S 434-029Install the fasteners which hold the shim and the bearing retainer assembly to the structure.
 (6)  S 434-030Install the long spacer on the torque shaft.
 (7)  S 434-031Put the bellcrank on the end of the torque shaft.
 (8)  S 434-032Install the bolt, washer (under the bolt), and nut which hold the bellcrank to the torque shaft.
 (9)  S 824-033Align the actuator links with the holes in the torque shaft.
