Systems to the Airbus Narrow Body wing
production line, MK were tasked with supplying
a STU (Systems Test Unit) that
would test all wiring, components and systems
installed in the Airbus wing. These
include cabling, solenoids, relays, valves,
lights, strobes, candensicon and finally the
FQI (fuel quantity indicator probes).
Previously, the candensicon and fuel probe
testing would be carried out using a dedicated
OEM supplied test system.
This system required significant manual
intervention and provided little or no automatic
generation of test reports and/or formatting
and analysis of measured values.
The MK FQI module allows the user to
connect to the Probe/s via the in-wing
wiring loom.
Test parameters and pass or fail criteria
are held in the test programme.
MK can supply interface cables between
the test system and aircraft interface connector.
A single test system performs the total
wing systems test, offering exceptional
time savings.
All test parameters and results are captured
automatically, reported, and stored
for future analysis.
