R  MANUAL*  This action is displayed while the SDU is in the WAIT 
R  USER INPUT state. Selection of line key 6R in this state 
R  initiates a manual log-on using the displayed SAT ID, 
R  GES ID and antenna selection control. 
R  (b) Log-on mode is displayed adjacent to line key 5R except when the 
R  log-on status is WAIT USER INPUT. Mode is displayed as either 
R  AUTO or USER COMMANDED. Log-on mode is initialized per the owner 
R  preference table. When Log-on mode is AUTO, the AES selects the 
R  most preferred Satellite/GES per the GES preference table. 
R  When the Log-on status is WAIT USER INPUT, AUTO LOG-ON* is 
R  displayed using the MANDATORY ACTION color type adjacent to line 
R  key 5R. See description of WAIT USER INPUT state above. 
R  (c) Satellite ID as currently locked onto or being scanned by the 
R  SDU, are displayed adjacent to line key 3R. The satellite ID is 
R  displayed as the name of the region as listed below. While in the 
R  WAIT USER INPUT state a : prompt is displayed and selecting line 
R  key 3R cycles through the available satellite regions. This also 
R  causes the GES displayed next to line key 4R to be set to the 
R  first GES available in that satellite region. Selecting line key 
R  6R (MANUAL*) initiates a manual log-on to the specified Satellite 
R  and GES. When in any other state, these numbers are displayed 
R  without the : prompt and are not available for user entry. 
R  00 - Atlantic West

R  (d) GES ID as currently locked onto or being scanned by the SDU, are 
R  displayed adjacent to line key 4R. The GES ID is displayed using 
R  the textual labels listed below, or represented in octal, range 
R  00-376 is not listed in the table. While the AES is in the TUNING 
R  TO SAT portion of the log-on process, the GES ID is displayed as 
R  dashes. While in the WAIT USER INPUT state a : prompt is 
R  displayed and selecting line key 4R cycles through the available 
R  GES IDs within the selected satellite region. Selecting line key 
R  6R (START MANUAL) initiates a manual log-on to the specified 
R  Satellite and GES. When in any other state, these numbers are 
R  displayed without the : prompt and are not available for user 
R  entry.

R  (f) Doppler correction in HZ is displayed adjacent to line key 3L. 
R  This item is not displayed while in the WAIT USER INPUT state. 
R  (g) Signal Quality is displayed adjacent to and below line key 2L. 
R  The display range is 00.0 to 99.9, with typical values being in 
R  the range of 10.0 to 60.0. If no P-channel is being received, 
R  this field displays 00.0. This item is not displayed while in the 
R  WAIT USER INPUT state.
