 A. Test
 (1) Do the operational test of the DME (Ref. AMM TASK 34-51-00-710-001).
 4. Fault Isolation
_______________
 A. If there is no audio signal on the loud speakers during the test, when the DME 2 data are shown on the ND:
 - replace the INTRG-DME, 2 (2SD2) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-51-33-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-51-33-400-001).
 (1) If the fault continues:
 - replace the AMU (1RN) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-51-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-51-34-400-001).
 (a) If the fault continues:
 - do a check and repair the wiring of the DME 2 AUDIO bus from the AMU (1RN) to the DME interrogator 2 (2SD2) (Ref. ASM 34-51/01).
 B. Do the test given in Para. 3.

 3. Fault Confirmation

 A. Test Do the BITE test of the DME (system 1) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-51-00-740-002).
 4. Fault Isolation
_______________
 A. If the test gives the maintenance message DME1 ANTENNA (3SD1):
 - swap the INTRG-DME, 1 (2SD1) and the DME interrogator 2 (Ref. AMM TASK 34-51-33-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-51-33-400-001).
 (1) If the fault stops:

 - replace the DME interrogator that you installed on side 2.

 (2) If the fault continues:

 - remove the DME interrogator 1

 - disconnect the coaxial connector from the DME antenna 1 (Ref. AMM TASK 34-51-11-000-002)

 - do a check of the wiring between the DME interrogator 1 and the DME antenna 1: for pin AB/C of the DME interrogator 1 (Ref. ASM 34-51/01).

 (a) If the wiring is not OK:
 - repair it

 - connect the coaxial connector to the DME antenna 1 (Ref. AMM TASK 34-51-11-400-002)

 - install the DME interrogator 1.

 (b) If the wiring is OK:
 - replace the ANTENNA-DME, 1 (3SD1) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-51-11-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-51-11-400-002)

 - install the DME interrogator 1.

 B. Do the test given in Para. 3.
