 3. Fault Confirmation

 A. Test
 (1) Do the BITE test of the TCAS (Ref. AMM TASK 34-43-00-740-001) and make sure that you can hear the synthesized voice message in the two loud speakers.

 4. Fault Isolation
_______________

 A. If you cannot hear the synthesized voice message:
 (1) In the CAPT loud speaker only:

 - replace the LOUD SPEAKER-CAPT (7WW) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-53-21-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 31-53-21-400-001).
 (a) If the fault continues:
 - do a check and repair the wiring of the CAPT loud speaker (7WW): . pin A/R to the first terminal block . pin A/S to the first terminal block (Ref. ASM 34-43/01).

 (2) In the F/O loud speaker only:

 - replace the LOUD SPEAKER-F/O (8WW) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-53-21-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 31-53-21-400-001).
 (a) If the fault continues:
 - do a check and repair the wiring of the F/O loud speaker (8WW): . pin A/R to the first terminal block . pin A/S to the first terminal block (Ref. ASM 34-43/01).

 (3) In the two loud speakers:

 - replace the CMPTR-TCAS (1SG) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-43-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-43-34-400-001).
 (a) If the fault continues:
 - replace the RELAY-RCDR/CVR TEST (20RK).
 1 If the fault continues:
_
 - do a check of the wiring of the AUDIO OUTPUT discretes from the TCAS computer (1SG) to the RCDR/CVR test relay (20RK) (Ref. ASM 34-43/01).
 a If there is no continuity:
_ - repair the above wiring.
 b If there is continuity:
_
 - do a check and repair the wiring of the RCDR/CVR test relay (20RK): . pin A/B to the first terminal block . pin A/C to the first terminal block (Ref. ASM 34-43/01).
 B. Do the test given in Para. 3.

 - coaxial cable from the TCAS computer (1SG) to the ATC/Mode S transponder 2 (1SH2)

 - coaxial cable from the TCAS computer (1SG) to the DME interrogator 1 (2SD1)

 - coaxial cable from the TCAS computer (1SG) to the DME interrogator 2 (2SD2)

 A. If the fault symptom is identified by the crew observation on the ND, TCAS-amber filled circle on the aircraft symbol or TCAS-false intruders:
 - remove the TCAS computer (1SG) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-43-34-000-001)

 - remove the ATC/Mode S transponder 1 (1SH1) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-52-33-000-001).
