 (g)  Attach the spring scale to the manual extension T handle of the
 right landing gear.
 (h)  Make sure the load to start the T handle from the seat has a
 minimum of 6.5 pounds.
 (i)  Make sure the full travel of the T handle is 14.4 to 16.1
 inches.
 (j)  Make sure the load during full travel of the T handle is not
 more than 18.0 pounds.
 NOTE: The T handle must be pulled upward and forward when you____
 measure the load.
 (k)  Release the T handle.
 (l)  Make sure the T handle goes back to its stowed position freely.
 (m)  Remove the ground lock assembly from the main landing gear
 which you will examine.

 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT YOU SET THE CONTROL LEVER IN THE OFF POSITION
_______ WHEN YOU OPERATE THE MANUAL EXTENSION SYSTEM. IF YOU HOLD THE MANUAL EXTENSION HANDLE IN ANY EXTENDED POSITION AND YOU MOVE THE CONTROL LEVER TO THE UP POSITION, THE SYSTEM CABLE WILL CAUSE THE MANUAL EXTENSION HANDLE TO SNAP BACK INTO THE V-SLOT.
 (2)  
Put the control lever in the UP position to retract the main gear which you examine to the up and the locked position.

 (a)  
Put the control lever in the OFF position.

 NOTE: Keep the hydraulic system A pressure at 3000 psi.

 (b)  
Open the access door of the manual extension.

 (c)  
Attach the spring scale to the manual extension T handle of the examined gear.

 (d)  
Pull upward and forward on the manual extension T handle with the spring scale.

 (e)  Make sure that the necessary force to release the main gear from the up and the locked position is not more than 70 pounds.
 NOTE: The T handle must be pulled upward and forward when you

 measure the load.

 (f)  Measure and make sure the full travel is between 14.40 and
 16.10 inches.
 (g)  Make sure that the main gear moves freely to the down and the locked position.
 NOTE: It shows on the green indicator of the pilots' landing
____ gear panel or the red marks on the side strut indicator align in | 0.03 inch. The main gear red light will also be ON due to the disagreement between gear handle OFF and gear down and locked.
 D. Put the Airplane Back to its Usual Condition.

Install the ground lock assembly in the landing gear which you examine (AMM 32-00-01).

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:

 (a)  
P6, Hydraulic System Circuit Breaker Panel 1) C781, L.G. SYS XFR VALVE PRI CONT 2) C799, L.G. SYS XFR VALVE SEC CONT

 (b)  
Close the access door of the manual extension.

 (c)  
Find if the pneumatic, the hydraulic, and the electrical power are necessary on the airplane.

 NOTE: If it is not necessary, remove the power.

 (d)  Lower the airplane and remove the jacks (Refer to Chapter 7, Jacking Airplane).

 (1)  
Make sure that you install the ground lock assemblies in the main landing gear (AMM 32-00-01)

 (a)  
Put the control handle of the landing gear in the OFF position.

 (b)  
Attach the spring scale to the manual extension T handle of the left landing gear.
