Install the washers and the nuts on the bolts.

Do a check to make sure the clearance for the beam hanger and shaft is correct (AMM 32-32-93/401).

Tighten the nuts to 130 - 180 pound-inches.

Turn the walking beam arm (14) to align the holes to install the antirotation bolt.

Install the antirotation bolt from the top, install a washer, and tighten the nut to 30-40 pound-inches.

Align the inboard end of the actuator walking beam (3) with the walking beam arm (14) on the shock strut.

Do these steps to install the bolt (13) (View D, Fig. 401):
(a)
Install the bolt (13) with the head forward.
(b)
Install the washer and nut.
(c)
BOLTS WITH FOUR COTTER PIN HOLES;
Measure and record self-locking torque of nut.
NOTE: The self-locking torque should be between 90 to 800
____
pound-inches.
1) Add 250 to 300 pound-inches to the measured self-locking torque.
NOTE: This is the installation torque.

2) Install the cotter pin.
(d) BOLTS WITH EIGHT COTTER PIN HOLES; Tighten the nut 600 - 1800 pound-inches lube torque and install cotter pin.
NOTE: Make sure the installation torque is within the range.

(e) BOLTS WITH ONE COTTER PIN HOLE;
Tighten the nut 840 - 1080 pound-inches lube torque.
1) Loosen the nut and tighten it again to 60 - 120
pound-inches lube torque.

2) Install the cotter pin.
NOTE: If it is necessary, loosen the nut to the nearest
____ castelation to align the hole for the cotter pin. Zero torque is permitted when you do this.

Do the steps that follow to install the bolt (16) (View E, Fig. 401):
(a)
Align the inboard end of the actuator (6) with the trunnion link pin (15).
(b)
Install the anti-tilt washer (if installed) between the trunnion pin clevis and the actuator rod end assembly.
(c)
Install the bolt (16) with the head forward.
(d)
Install the washer and nut.
(e)
Tighten the nut 840 - 1080 pound-inches lube torque.
(f)
Loosen the nut and tighten it again to 60 - 120 pound-inches lube torque.
(g)
Install the cotter pin. If it is necessary, loosen the nut to the nearest castelation to align hole for the cotter pin. Zero torque is permitted when you do this.
