Align the hole in the crank collar (3) to the hole in the uplock support shaft (5) for the installation of the collar bolt (2).
(f)
Make sure the locking slot on the collar (3) and the locking rib on the uplock crank (4) are fully engaged.
(g)
Put the collar bolt (2) through the counter bore side of the crank collar (3), and the uplock support shaft (5).
(h)
Put the shims on one of the two sides of the support frame (7) to adjust the uplock hook on the uplock roller in |0.10 inch
(2.54 millimeter) of the center of the roller.
(i) Do a check on the clearance between the shims (6), and the support frame (7) on each side of the support frame (7). 1) Add the clearance that you get on each side of the support
frame (7).
NOTE: The total clearance must be between 0.002 - 0.020
____ inches (0.051 - 0.508 millimeter).
(j)
Add the special washer (1) and the nut.
(k)
Tighten the nut with your hand.
(l)
Install the pin in the uplock support shaft (5). If it is necessary, loosen the nut to the nearest castellation to align the hole for the pin.
(m)
Install the washer, and the nut on the collar bolt (2).
(n)
Tighten the nut to 30 - 40 pound-inches
(3.4 - 4.5 newton-meters).

Connect the uplock actuator (17):
(a)
Put the uplock actuator (17) in its position for connection to the uplock link assembly (10).
(b)
Put the actuator pin (12) through the link assembly (10) and the rod end of the uplock actuator (17).
(c)
Install the bearing (9), washer, and nut to each end of the actuator pin (12).

Prepare for the Removal

WARNING: MAKE SURE THE GROUND LOCK PINS ARE INSTALLED ON ALL THE LANDING
_______ GEAR. WITHOUT THE GROUND LOCK PINS, THE LANDING GEAR COULD RETRACT AND CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

If the ground lock pins are not installed in the nose and the main landing gear, install the ground lock pins (AMM 32-00-01/201).

Remove the uplock sensor and the mounting bracket

Main Landing Gear Uplock Hook Removal

(1)
Disconnect the uplock springs (14):
(a)
Remove the lockwire from the uplock springs (14).
(b)
Remove the spring pins (16) that hold the uplock spring (14) to the upper spring shaft (19).
(c)
Remove the uplock spring (14) from the upper spring shaft (19).
(d)
Remove the upper spring shaft (19) from the uplock hook (15).
(e)
Keep the spacers (18) that fall free when you remove the shaft.

Disconnect the uplock hook (15) from the stop link (20).
(a)
Remove the cotter pin, nut, and the washer from the bolt (21).
(b)
Remove the bolt (21) that holds the uplock hook (15) to the stop link (20).
