Procedure to Install the Control Mechanism of the Manual Extension

(1)
Put the control drums (10) and the spacer (7) in the cable guard assembly (8).

Put the control mechanism in its position on the airplane structure.

Put the shaft (4) in through the support (3), the cable guard assembly (8), the spacer (7), the control drums (10), and the structure.

Install the bolt (5) which attach the inboard cable guard (6) to the support (3).

Install the washer (12) and the nut (13) on the shaft (4).

Tighten the nut to 50 - 350 pound-inch and install the cotter pin.

Put the elevator cable EAR (9) in through the slot in the clip on the outboard cable guard.

Install the grommet on the clip.

Install the control cables (14) on the control drums (10) with the cable retainers (1).

Install the cables (2) of the manual extension handle on the control drums (10) with the cotter pins.

Bend the end of the cotter pin into the drum.

Connect the cables MLGEA-L and MLGEA-R at approximately body station
