d. Canadian MNPS operations which fall within the areas of magnetic unreliability require an
additional validation test and authorization for Areas of Magnetic Unreliability (AMU),
(Operations Specifications B0023).
e. Except when under the supervision of an appropriately trained check pilot, the flightcrew must
have completed an approved training and testing program applicable to the equipment, routes,
and procedures unique to this authorization.
f. If the certificate holder is authorized Operations Specifications B0021, NAT/MNPS, no additional
requirements must be met for Canadian MNPS airspace except for AMU, if applicable.
g. The certificate holder must have the minimum communications and navigation equipment as
specified in the Canadian AIP.
h. Canadian MNPS operations which fall within RVSM airspace require additional authorizations for
RVSM (Operations Specifications paragraphs B0035 and D0003).
i. The applicable area of en route operations for Canadian MNPS airspace authorization must be
contained in Operations Specifications B0039

AUTHORIZATION AND LIMITATIONS
C0003 SPECIAL PILOT-IN-COMMAND QUALIFICATION AIRPORTS
a. The certificate holder is authorized to conduct IFR operations into special airports requiring
special qualification for the pilot-in-command in accordance with the provisions and limitations of
this operations specification and CCAR-121.469.
b. The certificate holder may not use any person, nor may any person serve, as pilot-in-command to
or from an airport determined and published by CAAC to require special pilot-in-command
qualifications, unless:
(1) The pilot-in-command has made an entry to that airport using an aircraft or level D simulator,
including takeoff and landing, while serving as a pilot flight crewmember within the preceding
12 calendar months, or
(2) The pilot-in-command has been qualified by using a pictorial means acceptable to CAAC for
that airport.
c. The restrictions of subparagraph b of this operations specification do not apply when an entry to
that airport is being made if the ceiling at that airport is at least 300 meters (1,000 feet) above the
lowest MEA or MOCA, or initial approach altitude prescribed for the instrument approach
procedure for that airport, and the visibility at that airport is at least 4800 meters (3 miles).

C0005 TERMINAL INSTRUMENT PROCEDURES
a. The certificate holder is authorized to conduct terminal instrument operations using the
procedures and minimums specified in these operations specifications, provided one of the
following conditions is met:
(1) The terminal instrument procedure used is prescribed by these operations specifications.
(2) The terminal instrument procedure used is prescribed by CCAR Part 97.
(3) At China military airports, the terminal instrument procedure used is prescribed by the China
military agency operating the airport and is recognized by CAAC.
(4) If authorized foreign airports, the terminal instrument procedure used at the foreign airport is
