(3) Put the warning notices in position: - on the refuel/defuel control panel 800VU, to tell persons not to refuel the aircraft, - on the FUEL section of the overhead panel 40VU, to tell persons not to operate the fuel system,
- on the APU section of the overhead panel 25VU, to tell persons not to operate the APU.

Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.

Remove the bolt (5) and the washer (4). NOTE : If you find signs of leak-fuel when you disconnect the drain
____ line (2), repair/replace the APU fuel-line components as necessary.
(3)
Loosen the the nut (7) and disconnect the drain line (2) from the union (6).
NOTE : Hold the union (6) with a second wrench.

(4) Put a blanking cap on the union (6).

(5) Make sure that the ground air-pressure generator, the valves, the pressure hoses and pressure gages are in correct condition and assemble the items to the correct test configuration.
NOTE : Make sure that the ground air-pressure generator can supply
____ compressed air which is dried, filtered and pressure regulated to 20 psi (1.3789 bar). Make sure that the pressure gages are approved and calibrated for a pressure up to 30 psi (2.0684 bar).
(6) Connect the test equipment to the drain line (2).

A. Leak Test of the APU Fuel-Line Shroud
(Ref. Fig. 501/TASK 28-22-00-991-001)
(1) Do this test:

Monitor the pressure gage 2 and - on the pressure gage 2 you can read make sure that the air pressure that the air pressure in the APU in the APU fuel-line shroud fuel-line shroud is 20 psi (1.3789 remains at 20 psi (1.3789 bar) bar) and does not decrease. for 15 minutes.
NOTE : Leaks are not permitted.
____ If the pressure decreases during the 15 minutes, do a leak check with the soap solution. When you find the leak(s), do the repair/replace as necessary.
