 Make sure that the engine LP valves are closed. NOTE : An amber cross-line on the ECAM display unit (DU) shows that

 the LP valves are closed.

 Do this check for the air-release valve (ARV) on the feed line of the LH engine:

 -make sure that the X FEED  - the ECAM DU shows the crossfeed valve pushbutton switch is released is closed (cross-line). (out).

 -push the APU MASTER SW 14KD - the APU fuel shutoff valve moves to
 pushbutton switch.  the open position and the APU fuel pump starts.

 -push the APU MASTER SW 14KD pushbutton switch again.

 B. Do this check for the air-release valve (ARV) on the feed line of the RH engine:

 - push (in) the X FEED pushbutton  - the ECAM DU shows the crossfeed valve

 - the ON and OPEN legends come on.

 - push (in) the APU MASTER SW  - the APU LP fuel shutoff valve moves
 14KD pushbutton switch.  to the open position and the APU fuel
 pump starts.
 3. Monitor the fuel flow for 5  - the fuel flow must be normal and
 minutes.  there must be no air bubbles in the
 fuel.

 NOTE : There can be air bubbles in the fuel during the initial fuel flow but

 On the panel 40VU:

 -release (out) the X FEED  - the ON and OPEN legends go off
 pushbutton switch.

 -the ECAM DU shows the crossfeed valve is closed (cross-line).
 6. On the overhead panel 25VU:
 -push the APU MASTER SW 14KD - the APU LP fuel shutoff valves moves
 pushbutton switch again.  to the closed position and the APU fuel pump stops.

 C. Aircraft Configuration
 (1)
 De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-862-002).

 (2)
 Put a container in position below the APU fuel feed pipe at the connection to the TEST EQUIPMENT-APU FUEL FEED.

 (3)
 Remove the TEST EQUIPMENT-APU FUEL FEED.

 (4)
 Remove the blanking cap from the inlet connection of the tee assembly (1).

 (5)
 Install the APU fuel feed pipe (4) to the inlet connection of the tee assembly (1).

 (6)
 Connect the pipe coupling nut (6) to the inlet connection of the tee assembly (1).
