B. Installation of the Crossfeed Valve Actuator (5QE)
CAUTION : MAKE SURE THAT YOU ASSEMBLE THE ACTUATOR WITH THE DRIVE
_______ ASSEMBLY CORRECTLY. IF YOU DO NOT, THE ACTUATOR WILL NOT OPERATE THE VALVE CORRECTLY.
CAUTION : DO NOT TRY TO TURN THE DRIVE OF THE ACTUATOR BECAUSE YOU WILL
_______
CAUSE DAMAGE.
(1)
Remove the blanking caps from the mounting flange (1) and from the crossfeed valve actuator (5).
(2)
Carefully install the crossfeed valve actuator (5) on the mounting flange (1).
(a) Make sure that the mating surfaces of the actuator and of the drive assembly touch fully with:
-
the drive key of the actuator spindle engagaed with the spindle of the drive assembly
-
the roll pin in the drive assembly engaged with the location hole in the actuator
-
the dowel in the flange of the actuator engaged with the slot of the drive assembly.
(3)
Install the V-clamp (3) and TORQUE the screw to 0.13 m.daN (11.50 lbf.in).
(4)
Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(5)
Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.
(6)
Connect the electrical connectors (4) to the crossfeed valve actuator (5).

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1QE, 2QE.

B. Test
NOTE : In the test that follows, on each operation of the crossfeed

valve:
-
make sure that the actuator stops each time when the crossfeed valve moves to the end of its travel
-
make sure that the see/feel indicator operates smoothly, from the valve open (valve closed) position to the valve closed (valve open) position
-
make sure that the see/feel indicator marks are accurately aligned in the valve open position
-
make sure that the see/feel indicator marks are at 90 degrees to one another in the valve closed position.

On the circuit breaker panel 121VU: - open the circuit breaker 1QE
(MOT2).

On the overhead FUEL panel 40VU: On the overhead FUEL panel 40VU:
-push the pushbutton switch X - the ON (white) and OPEN (green)
FEED 4QE. legends of the X FEED pushbutton switch come on when the valve is open.
On the lower ECAM display unit:
-the crossfeed valve symbole is shown open (in-line).

3. On the overhead FUEL panel 40VU:
-release the pushbutton switch X FEED 4QE.

On the circuit breaker panel 49VU: - open the circuit breaker 2QE
(MOT1).

On the circuit breaker panel 121VU:
-close the circuit breaker 1QE (MOT2).
6.
On the overhead FUEL panel 40VU:
-push the pushbutton switch X FEED 4QE.
In the Zone 142/FR42, on the crossfeed valve actuator:
-
the see/feel indicator shows that the valve is open.
On the overhead FUEL panel 40VU:
-
the ON and OPEN legends go off whenthe valve is closed.
