 Mix 12.0 l (3.1700 USgal) of the de-mineralized water and 6.0 l (1.5850 USgal) of the solvent CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-013) to make the cleaner solution.

 (b)
 Fill the container of the compressor cleaning device with 9.0 l (2.3775 USgal) of the cleaner solution.

 (c)
 Close the container and make sure that it is correctly sealed.

 (d)
 Operate the handpump on the compressor cleaning device and pressurize the container to 5 bar (72.5188 psi).

 (5) Start and operate the APU (Ref. TASK 49-00-00-860-003).
 NOTE : APU run with open doors:

make sure that the access platform can not move.

make sure that the fire fighting equipment and the necesary persons to monitor the start and operation of the APU are available.

 -
make sure that no persons or loose equipment are in the danger areas.

 -
make sure that persons are not in the APU compartment or on the access platform below the APU during start, mode change (MES on/off, de-ice on/off, ECS demand change, APU Gen. on/off) and/or shutdown.

 Do a print-out of the APU MES/IDLE REPORT <13> (Ref. TASK 31-36-00-740-010).

 (7)
 Spray the cleaner fluid into the APU compressor until the compressor cleaning device is empty.

 NOTE : Keep the pressure in the compressor cleaning device to
____ approximately 5 bar (72.5188 psi). Use a handpump to do this.
 (8)
 Operate the APU for 2 minutes with no cleaner fluid in the APU
 compressor.

 (9)
 Make sure that the pressure is released from the compressor cleaning device before the container is opened.

 (10)
 Fill the compressor-cleaning device container with 9.0 l (2.3775 USgal) of the cleaner solution.

 (11)
 Close the container and make sure that it is correctly sealed.

 (12)
 Operate the handpump on the compressor cleaning device and pressurize the container to 5 bar (72.5188 psi).

 (13)
 Spray the cleaner solution into the APU compressors for a second time until the cleaning device is empty.

 NOTE : Keep the pressure in the compressor cleaning device to
____ approximately 5 bar (72.5188 psi). Use a handpump to do this.
 (14)
 Operate the APU for 10 minutes more to make sure that the bleed components are dry.

 (15)
 Do a print-out of the APU MES/IDLE REPORT <13> (Ref. TASK 31-36-00-740-010).

 (16)
 Stop the APU (Ref. TASK 49-00-00-860-004).

 (17)
 Compare the EGT and OAT figures before and after the compressor cleaning.

 (a)
 Make sure that there has been an improvement in engine performance.

 (b)
 If the results are unsatisfactory do the compressor cleaning procedure again.

 (18)
 Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):
 1KD, 2KD.

 (19)
 Remove the cleaning device:

 (a)
 Remove the knurled screws (17) and remove the cleaning device.

 (b)
 Remove the knurled srew (15) and the mount plate (14) from the APU rear lower mount boss.
